RIP Beano Cook

Not Grizzly related, but an icon in college football. Beano Cook died last night.

Great story Colin Cowherd told this morning about him. Beano was the SID at Pitt. A lady called on the first day of practice and wanted the roster for the entire football team. Beano told her to wait a few days, and the roster would be pared down from 120 to about 70, and she could get it then.

She was adamant that she get the entire roster. Beano asked her why. "Because I am going to ("make love") to every one of them. Beano's response: "Ok. Starting at left tackle: Cook, Beano" :lol: :lol:

Hilarious story. Beano had a great sense of humor.

He was always a quick wit, and was great with a zinger or two, but as he got older his analysis did suffer somewhat. Nevertheless I always enjoyed listening to Beano.

Sad to hear about Beano. Enjoyed his segments w/ Colin some time ago. He loved Notre Dame & he always pronounced it, "Notrah Dame." Hope he was aware ND is in the Top 10 before he went. Maybe he died happy.
 
Thanks for the many great memories Beano. Hopefully you are off enjoying the benefits of that starting position at left tackle in another realm.
