Riley Wilson to Bucs

Would he not have had the same deal at the Griz maybe even drafted.
So it was all about the NIL money that he transferred.
How many Griz were drafted and how many were signed to free agent deals compared to AZ? I’ll give you a hint, AZ had twice as many guys drafted in 2026 from their program as all current FCS programs combined. AZ had an additional 5 players sign free agent deals. Many more have try outs.

strange reply. I am referring to 1 person not the rest of the team.

What a dumb argument.

I figured since you claim to know everything you would man up and say the reason. But ok, let me make some guesses.

Arizona has a better nutritional program and he likes the food
weather is warmer
women are hotter
he likes standard time year round
He got to play in the Rocky Long 3-3-5 at the highest level of college football as in P4

Arizona’s indoor practice facility and locker room are nicer than Montana’s but Montana has a nicer and larger weight room. Arizona’s stadium is larger but Montana’s is definitely louder more consistently. AZ has a solid game day environment when the team is good but it can feel like a basketball school when the football team is mediocre or worse.

He didn't like Hauck thats the main reason.
Not true. I know Riley fairly well. Braxton introduced us Riley's first year. I've met Riley's parents. He and Braxton came over to our condo a time or two, and did some work for us. I stayed in touch with Riley after he departed. He was offered $200,000 NIL. UM wasn't going to match that. Riley liked the idea of playing up for a year, although he liked the Griz too. He's glad he got a chance to play up for a year. He's excited for his chance now. I wonder if his speed and tackling get him a chance on a team that needs a special teamer.

He made the right choice. Would probably not have been drafted, had he stayed with the Griz, or even in the FCS. Tough reality. He might have gotten a camp invite, but that could have been a long shot as well. He played his cards the best way he could in today's environment. Happy for him.
