Riley Wilson, no. 16, is playing for AZ in Holiday Bowl, right now, 2d Q, SMU 21-0

The grass is rarely greener. I can't think of one example where a player leaving our program has truly bettered his situation, besides samouri, and I think he'd be in a very similar situation had he stayed. But I dont fault him, he graduated a griz, and covid messed with his senior year.
Vidlak and Huot. Thats it in the last 2 years. Next years portal out class has a lot more potential though.

He is not playing much, Arizona is playing a 3-3-5. His int was thrown right to him. Hope he got a lot of $$$ to transfer
Not just any 3-3-5, this 3-3-5 is more similar to ours than Alabama and Georgia. Montana and Arizona’s both came from Rocky Long.

2 good examples of better opportunities for the guys, but they weren't necessarily impact losses for us.
No, very true. Maybe having Vidlak over Fife last year might've made some difference but Huot was probably never gonna play for us. Heres some other notables the last two years.

Losing both vidlak and clif definitely hurt us last season. However, ah yat getting thrown in the fire last season helped us dramatically this year!

The interception I saw, the first, was not thrown even remotely close to him. He rushed from back to middle on roll out away from him and got shut out. When he realized wouldn't get to the QB no matter what, he peeled back into coverage on the QB rollout side and ran hard down field. The ball got tipped several times, and he caught up with it and grabbed it.

I didn't see the 2d one, which you must have seen. We switched to watch more of Landman. I like that show. Many of my Dartmouth friends were from Texas or went to Texas. Several became oil billionaires. Several have pretty big jets, including one of my football teammates. He evolved from oil/gas and is bigtime in residential real estate all over the country now. Was a first-team coaches all-American and is a member of the college football hall of fame. Was the executive director of that committee for years. Oversaw the building of the new college football hall of fame facility in Atlanta.

I think Riley got $200,000, I was told (not by Riley). I texted with him during the season a few times. He was the head of my work crew one year.

He is listed as a starter for the game. I thought he played quite a bit.
For the season he finished 6th on the team in tackles, 3rd in TFL's, and 2nd in sacks although it was only 3 and 1st only had 4. Also 3rd in hurries. Tonight was his first 2 INT's for the year.

Kansas State and Iowa State both lost their HCs and decided to not play in those wonderful Bowl Games. Both schools got fined $500,000 by the Big 12 for that move. 'Contractual obligations' was cited as the rationale for the fine. The NCAA should fine players who decide to sit out, or otherwise put an end to that shit. Hoops, you are a contract guy, what say you?

Landman is fake as hell. A landman is basically a salesman and not involved in operations.

Had to laugh at the rig they use. Using chains for connections was outdated mostly 15 years ago. Probably got rig for show cheap.

I like the show for entertainment value though.

There are big shot landman behind NIL at some programs. Texas Tech for example, I think their biggest donor to NIL is a landman alum.

Good for the Evans and Huot kid. Two of the better in state football players from their class.

My Landman friends in Texas say the show is very realistic, except that they women my friends hang out with are alot prettier than the ones on Landman. More like your woman. Ha.

Both the main woman on that show are so fine. I legitimately can't imagine your friends are hanging out with someone more attractive than Ali Larter or Michelle Randolph not because it's you saying it but because that's just rare 😭

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just because Hoops thinks his friend’s partners are more attractive doesn’t mean anyone else thinks that.

How's your sense of humor? I agree with you on the women. My friends are rich, but ugly. And they don't say Landman is realistic.

That's very true 🤣 Those oil guys do have money though so who knows? Maybe they got some Gold diggers on their arms
