Great player and well-deserved!! Should be a starter with Hill and Janacaro! Coaches created that cluster!

He’s a great player, and coaches know exactly what they have with him. Hauck gave him a lot of preseason praise. Not a bad thing to have a lot of guys that produce and have depth. He was tabbed the starter early in the season until his injury. Plus he’s young and has a few years left to put his stamp on it.

"He ranks third in the Big Sky with 8.5 TFLs and fourth with 5.5 sacks. That’s despite him missing two games and playing in six so far.

“Riley balled out on Saturday,” Griz senior linebacker Braxton Hill said. “I wasn’t surprised honestly. He’s a great player. He’s super competitive. He loves playing football. He’s got great speed. He’s quick. I couldn’t be happier for him.” Source: Missoulian

Wolf, no way Tirrell should have ever started game one over Janacaro. Janacaro has the speed, strength and size to play all three LB positions. Spin it anyway you want, Tirrell starting at this young point in is career is nepotism at its worst! :thumb:

So we commented on a thread about Wilson getting player of the week and you take it on a tangent to Tirrell vs Janacaro? Maybe start a new thread or clarify your initial comment.

Yeah, that was a weird turn for sure. A new thread would probably be best for that Ax you feel the need to grind.

I was confused looking for the context. Whatever, I’ll move on. Great recognition for great performance by Wilson.

CDA, I just think that Janacaro and Wilson should play on the field at the same time (more of the time). I will refrain from any critique on the coaches as it hurts Peaux's feelings.

Wilson is a stud, and he will be another of the great LBs we have put on the turf the past few seasons. First team All- conference is in his future.

Agreed. Janacaro, Wilson and Hill. :thumb:

Shhhhh! You can not claim what should be obvious about the word nepotism related to Bobby Hauck, or you will raise the hackles of the predictable ones, even though we witnessed four years of it with Robby.

Didn't we JUST get this shit cleaned out of this thread?

I will watch Wilson more, but it would seem the reason he doesn't get more snaps is he is great at attacking the LOS and has a knack for rushing the passer but he seems to struggle in space when dropping. This is why a guy like Tirrell still gets on the field as often as he does. IMO, Hill is the only true every down LB.

Good point HHB...I am not sure about Wilson's pass coverage, but Janacaro's pass coverage has been good for what I have noticed. Janacaro is an every down LB too.

I'm gonna try and pay a little more attention to that this weekend...be interesting to see if they just have him crash down or if he EVER goes back in coverage...
