Riley Bradshaw

What has happened to his minutes? Before Christmas he was playing about 10-12 minutes a game and not playing poorly. He hasn't shot the ball all that well but hasn't shot a lot either. I am not sure if DeCuire wants his point guards to just run the team or what, but as other posters have mentioned, Mario is nowhere near as aggressive as he was last year. Bradshaw has done a fine job of running the team while in the game. Especially before Christmas. Edmonds is ineligible, Weisner and Breunig are injured and so he starts and goes 2-10 from the field and the Griz lose to South Dakota. Not to mention Gregory and Gfeller have poor shooting games as well. After Christmas he plays 5, 7 and 0 minutes tonight? It's not like everyone else has been playing lights out. Gregory plays 40 minutes the other night and 38 tonight. Mario plays extensive minutes. It seems Lopez has been getting more minutes but not to spell Gregory or Mario. If they keep logging those minutes there will be more poor shooting nights. I am sure Riley's confidence is shot, how could it not be? Other guys shoot the ball poorly and they still see the floor. If not Riley, give Nwosu a chance. They need to develop more depth. At some point, due to foul trouble or injury, they may need someone else to step up, and if
this rotation continues, no one is going to be ready to do it.

Not quite dumb ass. You are the reason most reasonable people don't post on boards like this. I say let's just keep going the way things are and finish 9-18. That will be great. But we will have played many teams tough and almost beat them.

I think as we have gotten to conference you have seen the ball in Gregory's hands much more and when Dunn is out of the game Gregory is at the point. That is what has happened to Bradshaw's minutes. We need someone to step up in the 2 position when Gregory is at point and that hasn't happened lately. It is a job Edmonds filled when he was in as well as the 3 position. Edmond's absence is a huge loss offensively for us, not so much defensively. Gfeller has to start stepping up and become consistent which he hasn't done as of yet.

Not having seen Riley in high school but I believe he was one the leading scorers in the state. I assume he was a scorer. He doesn't seem to have the shooter mentality. He misses a shot and it's all passing after that. I don't see any practices so I don't if he lights it up practice or has completely lost his confidence. It seems to me he has to be willing to take some chances.

Riley is difficult to read. He is a heady player, will not hurt the team offensively or defensively. I remember watching him in AAU and HS ball, he was a very confident scorer, and not afraid to take over when needed. In college, he has lost that mentality. He was passive last season. This season, he progressively started to look for his shot, and he looked comfortable out there. I have a feeling his miserable shooting game against Milwaukee has gotten into head, and likely effecting how well he practices. He needs to find his confidence and game again for Travis to trust him in 10 plus minutes per game.

I am also a little perplexed by our PG play. Dunn is not near as aggressive offensively this season as last season. Gregory really appears to be the only player at PG playing aggressively. I wonder if Dunn and Bradshaw just are not comfortable in a new system, and have lost confidence. One of them really need to come through with more scoring and playmaking from the position. However, Dunn has some nice assist numbers a few games.

So far this season, Dunn and Bradshaw have been a little of a disappointment, in my opinion. As to why, that is yet to be determined.

I wonder about the lack of playing time for Daniel Nwosu. He was a deadeye three point shooter at the JC level. I do understand he may have had some injury issues earlier. If anyone has any info regarding his status, I sure would be interested in hearing it.
