Yep...gotta agree about the Griz coverage...especially ABC/FOX Montana. Pretty much all bobcats all the time these past few days.

Every day this week there's been at least one story about MSU football in the Missoulian, but not one story about Griz football in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle. Consistent coverage my A** - It's @#%$! Ridiculous!!

This has been covered several hundred times but, let's try again. The Missoulian is NOT covering the Bobcats. 406 Sports is. Lee Newspapers is Billings, Helena, Butte and Missoula, and 406 Sports is ALL of them. Hence, Cat stories on the Missoulian website. That's how it is, and how it's going to be. The Daily Chronicle is NOT 406 Sports, so why in the hell would they run Griz stories??? And to the Bobcat poster who commented on this thread, NO, Greg's stories on the Cats aren't being run in Missoula because of an expanding MSU fan base there either...

One thing George forgot to mention is the sports editor for Lee Montana and 406 sports is based in Belgrade. Lee doesn’t have a newspaper there, but the former bobcat beat writer and sports editor for the Chronicle lives there. So yes Lee is running more bobcat sport stories cause that is the “local news” (similar to how stories on new restaurants in Billings is somehow considered local news in the Missoulian), and no there is nothing the Missoulian can do about it because all decisions are made in Belgrade.

So if your theory about "Lee Newspapers" is correct.....explain to me why the Corvallis Oregon newspaper owned by "Lee Newspapers" has run 15 stories on Oregon State athletics this month compared to 4 stories on University of Oregon athletics. Seems to me the story ratio in the "rag" (Missoulian) is considerably different. I only wish every Griz supporter that currently subscribes would cancel immediately.
