First: Thanks for the link!
Just did a run-through and, I must say, the game did not seem as close as the score -- and the score (in case you don't recall) was 34-3. If CP was really geared to score a lot, it might have been a lot worse. Basically, it seemed like the 'Stangs pretty much did what they wanted to do, whenever they wanted to do it. As a sign of that, they were 5-for-5 on 4th down conversions. (However, they did punt five times, so USD did get some stops along the way.)
I suppose my impression is based on what happened the 2nd half, when CP pretty much took over.
My observations: First, they claimed the official attendance was 4,333 -- didn't look like that in the few shots they showed of the stands.
Second, they really have a "complex" about facing a "scholarship" opponent. Not necessarily an "inferiority complex," but it's something that is definitely on their minds. The USD announcers talked a fair amount about the "mental hurdle" their players must get over. They can rationalize that the scholarship schools just "overlooked" them -- but, in the back of their minds, they can see themselves as "less worthy/talented" as football players because they could not land a scholarship spot somewhere. I found that whole discussion very interesting.
