Request to Payton

Look, I’m all for second chances. But Vigilante, you…errrr Growler, has had dozens of chances and he’s fucked it up every damn time. Respect is earned. Unfortunately for you, ahh, him, so is disrespect.

Respectfully, I am not Growler or any other of his former usernames. I told you that 2 days ago.
Disrespectfully, :finger: . You earned it.

This whole thread is sad and pathetic, except for one post. CDA, I think Cam will prove more then serviceable, especially with our O line. Just wish we still had Knight for a bigger run threat.

Dude, that’s what I was looking for. A football post. If the fellas up front can provide more protection than in recent years, I think Cam will flourish. Agree about Knight, but we have some pretty good backs. I think they’ll also prove more than serviceable (again, dependent on the up-fronters). Go Griz!

Since this a football thread, I think Cam has been serviceable. By all accounts, he’s looked OK+ in fall camp. But, I’m still a bit skittish about how he will do. Im sure he will do very well, but with these WRs, I sure wish we had a proven top-level QB. Not trying to knock Cam at all, and I think he’ll prove everyone wrong. Im just a tad nervous about it.

This is the only football post of the thread and it wasn't by the guy whining about the lack of football posts.

Get out your knee pads. The squad will be approving your membership tonight. You post some good stuff, but you have a shaky self-worth which needs coddling frequently. This isn't a football thread. It is a request for Payton to take steps to end the 8th grade, rude, childish, posts. But you seem to value being included with The Squad than to talk football.

Hey, congrats, EG! Still waiting on my decision.
Anyway, I honestly believe this might be the best WR corps since we had Talmage, LV, and (I think) Heidelberger on the same team with Ochs pitching the rock. I know I’m forgetting someone from that year. But this corps feels like it’s gonna be special.

Gotta admit I got a good laugh at how this went sideways on post 2!

Look contrary to what You think Im not on here 24/7
There are many other moderators
I tend to hope that the "adults" around here are well mature, I know a lot to expect
My hope is that some of the stupidity would end and rational people would rise to the top
Honestly some of the posts that are reported are not worthy of comment or "Time outs"
I don't want to bring the hammer down every time someone is an idiot. People have rights to be stupid... Its the American way
And the same 4 or 5 bozos seem to be unable to be nice and push the envelope a lot (Its usually the 2nd poster that sends things into the ditch)

OH well I hope people can self regulate. still hoping

Agreed. I just watched the 2002 PSU game in which Jon Talmage made some clutch catches, and I was thinking that Ryan Simpson reminds me a lot of Talmage. He's very young and is only going to get better. Mitch Roberts has great hands, Sulser is speedy and shifty, and then there's Sammy with his huge wingspan. They all bring something different to the table which I think only makes the team that much stronger.

Such a great point. Having a bunch of different abilities is so much better than having 5 deep threats only (or worse, having 5 possession guys only). Our WRs have it all this year. Can’t wait!

Wait a sec! Posters actually get their feelings hurt so bad on a message board that they have to run to the principal and tattle!?😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
That’s is some of the funniest, dumbest shit I have heard in my life.

As great as his hands were, that drop of a sure fire TD from Ochs in the chipper vs James Madison on that shitty-ass field still stings, real bad.

Ugh! On a Sunday night before work? We were the better team that evening before the field disintegrated. Just a kick to the nuggets to remember this. To brighten the sprits and boost the FB talk in this thread (though, I’ve been disallowed to post here by a whiner), that throw back pass to Ochs in the end zone in front of the student section in 2004 was electrical. I think it may have been cat-Griz or one of the playoff games.

Thanks CDA. Not gunna lie, it’s an amazing feeling. You hang tight though, my man. Your day is coming soon. I just know it.

Thanks for reminding me.   All these years later and I still can't watch that game. I remember just being completely flabbergasted. What kind of football field comes apart in chunks?? Really disgraceful for a national championship.

Honestly I get tired of the childish bickering too. I wish people would stick to the topic and quit arguing. I think it is embarrassing for griz nation and it ruins an otherwise informative forum.

Thanks, man. And a huge congratulations to you for making it. If I keep my head down and study these electives this semester, I think I’ll have what it takes to gain acceptance into The Squad. I have to do a bit better on the Squad Record Examinations (SRE) than last time, though. We shall see. Time will tell. As a quick reminder to all: I can barely read, so this would be a huge accomplishment for me.
