Reports of Kaufman declaring for the draft

Can't blame Kaufman for going pro, he (from what I've heard) already has his degree, and he has done pretty much everything he can at the FCS level. He should be a nice NFL player.

Padron is a head scratcher. I think its more of a playing time thing with Adams than leaving early, but who knows.

Eastern has had a hell of a run with some skill position players the last few years, a ton of fun to watch them all. The freshman and sophomore class has a ton of talent, but as someone mentioned earlier, its unproven.

Kaufman is a stud. He is a game changer at wide receiver, and that is not easy to do. It states that Padron did not enroll. My guess is he could go to an NAIA school or something like that for his final year if he chooses. I don't see him entering the draft.

Best WR in the Big Sky since Vincent Jackson at UNC. He has all the tools, it will be interesting to see what his combine/pro day numbers are. I think his speed/size ratio will surprise some people.

I tried to think of who was better than him and the only guy in the ball park was Jackson. I do believe Jackson played at UNC before they were in the big sky?

i think you are right. if you throw out Jackson, then the next best Big Sky receiver would probably be Mariani? Akpla?

2004 was Jackson's senior year. He had 15 catches for 227 yards against us that year..

Yes. I was at that game. He was unstoppable. A quick google seach shows UNC joined the big sky on July 1, 2006. So yes we played him, but he was not in the big sky at that point.

Terry Charles from PSU. He (6'5") and qb Blanchard destroyed our horse jockey DB's.

The both players have declared to draf according to this SB Nation report: Left http://www.sbnation.com/nfl-mock-draft/2013/1/9/3854718/nfl-draft-2013-eastern-washington-brandon-kaufman-kyle-padron" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Kaufman is legit NFL prospect! Padron could make a roster given the down year in talent at the Q postion but I dont think its like. However, the CFL could be a real nice place for him to land. CFL is a great option for any quality US player.

All the best to both!

Vincent Jackson and Ramseys Bardon were the two best FCS receivers from the west that I had seen sin 2000. Bardon didn't have the numbers because of the Poly offense, be he was nearly unstoppable.

I think he wasD II back when the Griz played Him.

Screamin Eag, I'm sure they will be good players, but sorry, you pretty much get ONE Brandon Kuafman. Trying to already compare up-and-comers who have never even set foot in a Big Sky Conference game after ALL Kaufman did for EWU is really ignorant in my opinion.
Not saying anyone we have on the roster will be exactly like Kaufman. Of course he's one of a kind. But we always replace ridiculous talent at QB and WR with more ridiculous talent at QB and WR.

Meyer... Nichols... Bo Levi... Adams...

Kimble... Boyce... Kaufman...

Jeff Ogden was the best WR, by far, to ever play for EWU. No one else comes close. He blew the doors off the Griz in '97, and totally carried his team.
