Interesting. Maybe he plans to finally say something after Housewright's court date on Monday???

You are definitely an optimist. What does you're realist side think?

Besides, there is another Friday and Saturday night between now and then.

Yeah, uh, the words “absolute tone deaf” come to mind

Willie Patterson, Isaiah Ifanse, Callahan O'Reilly, Ty Okada...even a UM graduate should be able to figure out that this ad isn't recently filmed.
I wouldn't recognize those guys if I hit them with my car....after leaving Cats' practice, of course I'd be hammered and probably forget how to fake a field goal and punt for a touch back. Did Garza draw that one up...on a cocktail napkin?

I know of the running back Sixx ran off with his decision making. I don't know the other names, but they sound like a centerfielder from the 1970s, two auto part companies after the merger, and a fictional US state, respectively.

As for the commercial, I don't care when it was filmed. It just shows a lot about the culture of the program.

Colter literally hosted a live show from of all places, the rocking R on Wednesday, and guess what topic didn't come up when him and gregorak were reviewing biggest question marks for the fighting John bozemans for this year?

Whole thing smells.

I’m legitimately looking for ANY rational explanation here. Is Sixx so overwhelmed he’s trying to get himself fired? Are they truly alcoholics who think everyone wants to be like them? Does Waded have major gambling debts owed to the bar owners in Bozo?

I mean, honestly, those are the best, benefit of the doubt rationales that come to mind.
Well in fairness, this commercial was made last year before the season started. Before the DUI bullshit.

R-Bar is maybe the biggest sponsor and more involved than any MSU has. Now, if the argument is no bar should ever advertise in partnership with a university that is a completely different story. But in light of the current coach circumstances, I'll admit it's a bad look. But ever since NIL, Cat players have been doing commercials with the R-Bar.

If they trotted out Garza and Housewright for a commercial this summer........ :o

Well, in fairness, I think that is the exact story not being told. Can you imagine if some bored NYT journalist got wind of this? Two coordinators from a state school whose biggest and most involved sponsor is a bar get arrested for DUI within months of each other and get contract renewals/raises in a state with a huge DUI problem, and the administration refuses to comment on any of it. To me, that's a significant story.

Thank you guys for participating! It's good to know the DUI issue is still on your minds, too.

Not a problem! To be serious for a moment before taking my leave, I think the DUIs are on everyone's mind and some of the criticism of how MSU has handled this situation is completely valid and fair. Criticizing Tommy Mellott and the other players for filming an ad months before the DUI stuff ever happened, an ad in which no alcohol consumption is shown...not valid and not fair at all.

Even if it was filmed prior to all the DUI related problems, how is it not fair to criticize the leader of a player lead program when he says he takes his position as role model seriously. Every decision has consequences and though he isn’t responsible for his coordinators bad decisions, it’s hard not to associate it with the program. I bet he regrets it now. If not he should. Maybe his next NIL will be with the Rimrock Foundation featuring recent program occupants Garza and Housewright. They could all get paid for that one.

Sure, criticize the MSU leadership all you want. I've got no problem with it and won't respond to that because quite frankly I agree with a lot of it. I spoke up because people here felt the need to go after MSU players, who have absolutely nothing to do with the DUI issues and filmed an innocuous ad to earn some extra money months before the first DUI happened.

And you can’t see in light of current events how that looks like a bad idea now?

No, I don't think it looks bad at all when you look at the content of the ad and the fact that it was filmed months before Garza's DUI. The players are not involved in any of this. If they roll out a new version of the ad for the upcoming season then that can certainly be viewed in a different light.

Who went after the players? I think people were going after your leadership due to how it looks not having this ad double-deleted from the internet like the C.A.T.S. music video.

Saw the neighbor today and told him it looks like he’s grown some moobs too just like Sixx. Stress eating and too much booze and bbq he said.
I asked if he prefers The Bro or a Manssiere. He said if either came with a bubcatz logo he’d buy one and wear it proudly and I could yell “nice rack!”
It was a good comeback; he has like one a year.

Colter is trying to make a living after a lot of hard work building his business. I find him very balanced between both schools.

It is fair to note that he is not really negative toward either school, and doesn't really cover things that could be negative. He is a football analyst, and that is okay. That is his niche.

It's not like he is out being a negative journalistic investigator on the griz, either. He is what he is, and I appreciate what he does.

We don't ask Skip Bayless to break stories like Northwestern's hazing.

Really? So why will the saint, VF, ask dui-related questions and give dui-related updates while colter avoids the topic like the plague?

Weird. Swear the dude was here promising his next pod would be a deep dive into the subject. Maybe he pussed out? Did that ever “drop”? I wouldn’t know, I try not to listen to bubtrollz.

But he literally came on here and admitted it would be covered differently if it happened in Missoula.

You think the cat would have his tongue if the tables were turned?
