It’s like they’ve just intentionally tried to make their program look as bad as possible. This can’t be real life.

Right? It’s like I keep expecting them to somehow punk us all, and come out from behind the curtain yucking it up and patting everyone on the back, with the greatest “ we gotcha” moment ever. But….”

JFC! It's worse than I thought. It's actually institutionalized. The BOR has to flush the bowl, Christian, Cruzado, Costello, Sixx, and all his assistants. :protesst:

How much lack of self awareness do those players and coaches have to have as well as the local businesses and community??? You would think even Tommy would have said nah, I’m not touching that NIL money with a 10 ft pole. SMDH. Oh and the school would have had to sign off on them using their gear. No comment huh?

Yeah, uh, the words “absolute tone deaf” come to mind

I’m legitimately looking for ANY rational explanation here. Is Sixx so overwhelmed he’s trying to get himself fired? Are they truly alcoholics who think everyone wants to be like them? Does Waded have major gambling debts owed to the bar owners in Bozo?

I mean, honestly, those are the best, benefit of the doubt rationales that come to mind.

I admittedly have trouble with situations that make no logical sense to me, whether I’m right or wrong (likely often wrong). The situation in Bozeman completely baffles me. I just don’t get it.

Willie Patterson, Isaiah Ifanse, Callahan O'Reilly, Ty Okada...even a UM graduate should be able to figure out that this ad isn't recently filmed.

Well in fairness, this commercial was made last year before the season started. Before the DUI bullshit.

R-Bar is maybe the biggest sponsor and more involved than any MSU has. Now, if the argument is no bar should ever advertise in partnership with a university that is a completely different story. But in light of the current coach circumstances, I'll admit it's a bad look. But ever since NIL, Cat players have been doing commercials with the R-Bar.

If they trotted out Garza and Housewright for a commercial this summer........ :o

We would only know that if we were as obsessed with your program as you are with ours.

The Rockin R pre fire was an iconic spot in Montana without food. After it was done the building looks beautiful but it is pretty much just overpriced sub par food. It lost a lot of its character.

Whoa, sweet comeback, no irony at all when posted in a 300+ post thread about MSU.

Thank you guys for participating! It's good to know the DUI issue is still on your minds, too.

Not a problem! To be serious for a moment before taking my leave, I think the DUIs are on everyone's mind and some of the criticism of how MSU has handled this situation is completely valid and fair. Criticizing Tommy Mellott and the other players for filming an ad months before the DUI stuff ever happened, an ad in which no alcohol consumption is shown...not valid and not fair at all.

Because your staff has a DUI problem and the administration is doing nothing about it. My cousin recently lost her husband to a drunk driver so it really hits home to me. MSU needs to do better, and yes this is a thread on a message board that maybe no one important will read but it's still important to voice these concerns.

I don't spend time on bobcat nation and I have never had an account there but I highly doubt that there are anywhere near as many Griz fans who post there on a daily basis as Cat fans who post here. Therefore I don't think my comment about Cat fans being obsessed with the Griz program is off base.
