RENO - DAY 1

I had my doubts about Reno, but so far I'm impressed. It looked like a professional operation. Shocking.

It looks like a good time. I wish I was there.

I'm taking off in morning to catch the rest of the tourney. Looking forward to meeting all of you egriz folks who will be there supporting the team. Oh yeah none of you are going to be there :(
Wish it was in Greeley or pocatello then you all would be there

I'm in Reno now...great game last night and a damn good crowd...interesting how your guys sitting in Montana or Washington can count heads better than the people who actually are here....Mavman, you'll have a good time..hope to see you here...

Compared to what? A picture tells a thousand words but not a thousand people.

Might be a great crowd for SAC but really... a great crowd?

Official count 1723... wow.

I'm just guessing, but that seems like a pretty good first-day crowd. Isn't that about what you'd get if the tourney was held in Missoula or Ogden and the local team wasn't playing the first day?

One, there is NO WAY there were 1700 people at ANY of those games, unless they all happened to go to the shitter at each and every time the camera took the long angle shot from the corner of the "arena").

Two, hell, I would certainly HOPE that games involving sac would be the best attended. Criminey, you can pretty much fall out of bed and get to the game.

Don't forget but each school purchased 100 package tickets so that would be around 1200, minus the 1200 from the 1700 that showed up in the game vs SAC and MSU and it becomes about 500, and after watching the games last night on bigskytv, I even doubt the 500 fan number

I think the tournament at a neutral site will prove to be beneficial for the conference.

If Griz fans get behind this it could be a lot of fun. Ain't no party like a Griz party. Plus, we're royalty in this conference - might as well go let everyone kiss our asses for a few days.

Stop being sour. March in Missoula sucks anyway.

Keep the tourney in Reno or Vegas (ideally).

I doubt you'd feel the same way if you did not live in Nevada. I felt the same when UNC hosted the BSC tourney. I enjoyed getting to see every game and support the GRIZ in the conference tournament. I guarantee, had I not lived in the area, I would have never made the tournament.

Live in Missoula now. But sure, if I still lived Elko, I'd be there.

Regardless, I'll be in Reno in 2017.
