Remember 2011?

I am predicting a repeat! We were 6-2 at about the same time of the season ( even though one loss was to Tennessee) and we had very inconsistent play. One bad loss to Sac that year ( this years loss to NAU). About this time things seemed to start clicking and we started playing Grizzly football. We were ranked about 11 or 12 and went on a terror. Ended up ranked 5th going into the playoffs and made it to the semis. Let's go take care of business. I just got a feeling. Go Griz!

Grizzle....hope you are right. If we win out, thats when we develop the swagger some of the fellas were talking about....by winning!

I am remaining optimistic but I think we need to go out today being aggressive. I don't mean going for the kill with long low percentage pass plays but I think if we go out throwing the ball around with quick slants and some screens and let Jordy get outside and use his feet, that will then open up the running game for us down the stretch. We can't rely on running the ball over and over as we become way too predictable. If we get the linebackers on their heels, I think the running game will open up but we need to do it early. Mix it up, get the tight ends involved (something we haven't seen much of recently) and if Sac is bringing pressure, set up some screens. Teams are preparing for the run so we need to counter act that early.

We took the #3 team to the wire and could have beat them.

This team will silence all doubters soon.

Yeah.... About that..

:coffee:

I rewatched that game last night. Yes, I'm sick that way...

Honestly, the game hinged on 4 plays....the "non" interception by Hermanson that Cupp took away from him...the blown package with Kanongata'a on Hill that Adams threw up and allowed Hill to run underneath...the fumble at our 18 yard line....and the called back TD because of the penalty on Poehls.

I'm not a shoulda/coulda/woulda kind of guy....but I like our chances if we get the opportunity for a rematch.
