Maybe they will throw a preemptive flag on both teams and everyone in the stadium because it's just too much trouble to look at the film to see who the actual perpetrators are.

I am fully expecting some kind of bench-clearing brawl. There's a lot of tension with this game this year. With everything at stake, and the fact the Cats have a lot more to lose with a loss in Missoula, ejections won't be a matter of if, but when.

Let's give both the coaches and especially the players more credit than to expect a bench-clearing brawl. It will be a highly competitive game and passionate for sure but neither the coaches or especially the players go out there expecting this and in fact go out of their way to control their emotions so not to let that become a factor in the game... 99% of the crowd would hate to see their team's momentum stopped because of a stupid penalty...!

Agreed.

This game is obviously intense. Players on both sides are going to bring it and likely some extra stuff going on here and there. But give these kids credit. I never anticipate any kind of that crap between the players and I've watched this game for over 30 years.

Now the fans on the other hand. They are the idiots. On both sides. You're far more likely to see fans fighting or getting escorted out than you are players fighting or being ejected.

Contrary to what many people think, the players on both sides have a lot of respect for and even many friends on the other side's team.

Exactly. Been saying this for years. In the summers it's not uncommon for griz and cat players to be hanging out together. Lots of these kids were high school teammates. Played in the same camps etc.

I've always claimed it's the fans that take this rivalry to another level, not the players.

Now Clark, you KNOW they'd need 17 cameras for that, and they don't have them. They just don't have them.

Dateline: Farmington Utah: BS Conference commissioner Tom What’s-His-Name announced that there would in fact be seventeen cameras at the 122nd Brawl of the Wild in Missoula this Saturday. Since the conference has decided it doesn’t care what happens in SLO, Cheney, and particularly the smelly hellhole known as Greeley, it will be shifting cameras to the SpudState/Spuds ~ Battle of the Domes, the Causeway Classic, and of course, The Brawl of the Wild. It won’t matter that as normal, only four of them will be operated by people and focused on the actual game, the other thirteen will be pointed at important features like the M, the unfinished practice bubble site, the long lines trying to get into the stadium at 11:45, Brints Tailgate, the look on Marty’s face, The Mo Club, the spot where Bodnar has the pizzas delivered, and the idling Bozeman bus in the parking lot, among others.

Commissioner What’s-His-Name also noted that the crack group of BSC refs assigned to the contest would be continuing the litany of holding calls, personal fouls called on the head coach and general ineptitude shown consistently throughout the season. When in doubt, they will call unsportsmanlike conduct on everyone. #BSC
