Reese Phillips - 6th Year?

I'm hoping this is with the Griz

Edit: just saw him tweet that it probably won't be with the Griz. Glad this kid was a Griz either way. Wonder where he will land.

Probably just doesn't make a lot of sense for it to be with the Griz. He is a great student-athlete. I'll cheer for him and would watch him play wherever he ends up next year if on TV or games streamed. Glad to see he is healing up, and on a faster pace!

Why not?

It may not be this season, that was a serious injury and if things went according to what the doctors projected, he just got back on the leg a couple of weeks ago. & if he does, great, I’m rooting for him. That said, I do think he’s got to find an offense that optimizes his skill sets, which is why he came to be with Stitt in the first place after Kentucky. & that may not be the case with what Rosey brings.

Best of luck Reece, hope that it works out like you’re hoping.

I'm guessing the only one who knows that answer is Reese himself. I do know he thinks very highly of Gresch and said he's the man here. Also with the Griz signing Dalton Sneed maybe he sees an already crowded quarterback room. Who knows?

Christ, after that gruesome leg break I'm surprised he's healing so quickly. I'm not surprised he won't be back with the griz though, if he comes back I'm sure he wants to play and the griz already have a really good young QB in Jensen.

"I'm seeing where (former Montana coach Bob) Stitt lands too. I'm kinda waiting on that. I've talked with him. If he lands somewhere that's the right spot, that's probably what I'll take but I'm leaving every option open right now."

Missoulian.

So would this be a grad-transfer situation like Vernon Adams and Prukop? Could he transfer FBS, FCS, or down?

Aime does a good job pointing out how Reese will meet the criteria for the hardship waiver.
