Sulser absolutely should have been redshirted. Too say anything else is moronic.

My understanding is that Sulser refused to redshirt.

Sulser signed on to play only 4 years and graduate on time, his decision not Haucks. So I believe they decided to use him this year. Should have used way more all season and this game.imo. He had a great game and that catch he went up and got was pretty f***[*] incredible.

This is correct, he made it clear he was only signing for 4 years anywhere before going to grad school.

Not the brightest in the world, but do understand data. For every 3rd touch of the ball Ben Sulser Scored. To utilize Ben so inefficiently and blow a redshirt year is a crime. Feel bad for that kid..

You should have ended this post at the first coma.
Now that’s funny jack wagon, but I call BS on choosing in Bobby H. regime on a kid choosing to or not with redshirting

Second post that should have ended at the opening coma.

But isn’t it the coach’s choice who redshirts? I know I heard that somewhere. Maybe someone can ask Jeremy

Sulser might have “quit” the team if he’d redshirted.

Sulser might have only played 3 years if he did redshirt and everyone would have started bitching about wasting his first year. Guess we are there now.

Why?

He could still play here as a graduate student though, no?

Once again, he let it be known during recruiting that we would not redshirt and planned to move on to grad school after 4 years. The coach agreed to this. Calhoun came in 2 weeks prior to exhausting his eligibility to discuss redshirting. The coach disagreed with this. Seems that in both cases, the coach did choose.

Guess it would depend on what he plans to go to graduate school for, but seems probably not based on that.

So I am guessing that he plans to attend graduate school somewhere other than the University of Montana?

I can't remember now what it was, but I don't think UM offers what he would like to do.

You win Jack Wagon. However, one way or another it was a complete waste. Too much talent not to use.. TR is smarter than that IMO

Finally, you got a first sentence that is correct.

Hadn't heard about Sulsers refusal to redshirt, wonder what academic track he plans to pursue.

I don’t think he refused to red shirt I believe he simply told anyone who recruited him that he was getting degree in 4 years and also was only goin to play 4 years.

Yep, no wonder it’s 3 in a row. Ben was in the stands. Probably had more touches up there.
