The Griz played like a team against NDU Saturday. Defense allowed just one big play, Offensive line blocked, John Nguyen ran hard, Henderson, Jones and Roberts caught Simis' passes, special teams and offense didn't turn the ball over and made the extra points. Not a single bubble screen and only one 4th down decision by Stiit that put 3 points on the scoreboard for NDU. No major injuries. Portland State awaits. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a Time!

JN ran hard AND he blocked hard. I was VERY impressed with the way the RB's picked up the blitz's. UND sent a LOT of guys, and they rarely got to Simis. Well done to all involved.

Like night and day. Griz were well prepared by the coaches and they were led by outstanding quarterback play. OL play improved and we saw signs of a running game, although, not there yet. Our WR play was devastating and showed our battery of Wide Receivers are among the best in the nation. Coach Stitt, hopefully, will be demanding of our OL as they have the obligation to continue to play at a high standard. Those athletes are either on full or partial scholarships, thus, they owe the team, school, state and fans more than just showing up and standing around. We did see improvement, but I will be further impressed if I see them play well against a much better team in Portland State. Finally, Lucas should be on the field as much as Stitt can get him there.
