Utah AAU team upsets California's #1 AAU team
Utah team upsets AAU's top club Utah Pump N Run's U-17 team upset the Southern California All-Stars - the nation's top-ranked AAU team - 70-69 at the Arizona Cactus Classic in Tucson over the weekend. members of the team are: Brady Hurst 6'7" Davis HS, Ben Aird 6'9" Bountiful HS, Morgan Grim 6'7" Bingham HS, Brian Green 6'0" Davis HS, Jaxon Myaer 5'10" Judge Memorial HS, Nick Martineau 6'0" Davis HS, Jace Tavita 6'4" Brighton HS, Nate Mensah 6'4" West HS, Chris Collingworth 6'8.5" Provo HS, Charles Abouo 6'4" Logan HS, Tyler Strong 6'4.5" Bingham HS, GREAT group of Utah prep players...

posted this from idaho-utah basketball news, only because it's reported that along with utah, utah state and weber state, we're recruiting brady hurst. they also report that utah state is actively recruiting both edwards and selvig.

I just don't understand what everyone sees in edwards. He hasn't done anything. State tourney last march was his time to shine. He had the howard kid first night and got a whopping 3 pts??? I'm glad were goin for the right guy at MSU... But what is Utah St. thinking. They'll also lose out on Selvig. I see big potential there. But no results either? Him and Howard both on scout though.

Edwards has some very good qualities and has lots of potential. Excellent shot blocker with tall body (6-10) and long arms. Defensively he is very good. He also has a nice touch and is a good free throw shooter. If he continues to develop physically, he can be a good ofensive player in the BSC.

I agree with what Speth wrote. Coaches are very exicted about his potential. He has a lot of skills and ablities you can not teach, and his weaknesses are all things can be taught. While he has never displayed consistent offencive firepower, he has shut down some of the bigger name basketball players over the past few years.
