AG1, once AGAIN, you are WRONG. I am not better than that. The difference between you and me is, I realize my lack of knowledge of college FB.ALPHAGRIZ1 said:NativeGriz said:I like what Coach Stitt said in Kalispell about transfers. He doesn’t go after them for several reasons including he did not feel it was always fair to bring in a transfer to take away playing time from a kid that has worked his butt off and has been a part of the system 4-5 years. Stitt wants to recruit MT HS kids first because most grew up Griz and they already understand in many ways what it will mean to be a Montana Grizzly. If not MT kids he wants HS kids he can teach from day one to understand what it means to be a Griz which leads to team bonding/chemistry. They will go to battle each and every play for their teammates and not for themselves.
I also feel it is a reflection on your past recruiting. Which brings me to the cats. Having reviewed the last 5-6 cat classes and listening to cat fans, they have totally out recruited the Griz and I admit they have looked really good on paper. Yet this year, they have to bring in 9 transfers. If they have had these great recruiting classes why did they need 9 transfers?
Seriously?
I thought you were better than that..........................
I also realize you need to bring in a few transfers every year. Colter Nuanez made a good point: if you aren't out-recruiting the current talent on your team every year, you should be fired. So I do get that, but 9 transfers is a lot. I feel you are taking some chances. For example this Clark kid sounds like an absolute stud, but first off it sounds like his motivation is to play for himself and two if he is having trouble with an education at a community college, how is he going to do at a good school like MSU. Its not like he is going to "Non-qualifier" EWU. He will have to earn his grade.
