Recruiting Dead/Quiet Period

Can anyone tell me when the recruiting quiet period starts? Isn't there a quiet time over the holidays?

Looks like it kind of bounces back and forth between dead and quiet periods this month.

A longer dead period coming up from 12/22/14 through 1/3/15

We now have a dead period for new coaches.
A dead period for Egriz. A dead period for starting a new coach for the Griz football team thread!
I love dead periods because we continue to swill booze while the dead periods continue.
I suspect Growler will be snooping around as he enjoys dead periods.

The long approaching dead period coming up over Christmas through new years is just another reason we need a new HC sooner rather than later.

From the look of things, seems they have most the scholarships accounted for...and the current staff and AD are keeping in touch with those kids.

Well, since we have all of our bases covered, let's wait until Feb. !!!

We still have scholarship slots to fill, and we can slice and dice scholarships, unlike FBS, so I do not agree with your reasoning--we also need to be out recruiting N O W. (Just ask Robin Pflugrad how well it works to wait until early January !!! At least Hauck isn't trying to poach our recruits like he did 5 years ago.)

Thanks for the answer. That is my only concern about waiting in to late next week to make an announcement. Leaves the recruits hanging.

I still think the "Nine Candidates Left" or the "Don't expect anything until next week" are smoke screens. I bet as soon as Pease is done interviewing, KH will know which of the finalists is his choice and get started on a contract. Not syaing it will be Pease, just that I think he is the last of the lined up interviews.
