Recruiting Coordinator

Brint....just curious. Why was there such praise for the recent recruiting class?

Holmes and Kidder are studs on the DL.
Gamboa is always making plays on special teams, and has a high ceiling.
Lebsock will be stud too.
Henderson looks to have potential to be an all time great GRIZ.
Joey Counts has been damn impressive with his limited playing time.
Hayden Craig should be a great TE.
Naccarato has the tools, but needs a lot of defining. Should be a very good return man and slot WR.

I have heard a lot of great reports on the FR OL too.

Spanky, this years Freshman class is great. Scary thing is, the guys Redshirting are very talented too. I wish Counts and Gamboa would have been redshirts too. :thumb:

I think Green is the recruiting co. but all the assistants put in work in recruiting and I expect the Griz to sign some very good players, AS ALWAYS! One thing that scares me though, is Rosie. When he was at Wazzu, he said Kellan Moore wasn't good enough to earn a schollie. That was pretty poor judgment on his part.

His poor QB judgement continues, Adam B should have been playing this year.

The backup QB is always the most popular player on the team as soon as the starter stumbles. Nobody can say with certainty that AB would be doing better than TM or SSH. Seriously. Maybe he would, maybe not.

+1 :thumb: I'll be the first to jump on the AB bandwagon if he turns out to be all people say he is. But, for now, an unknown quantity whose calling card is that he dropped-down from being a walk-on at a big school.

mtgrizrule: thank you. Do you think these recruits are up to the quality of Hauck recruits or those of our current competition in the Big Sky?

Why do you assume that Hauck's recruits are the standard that the current staff should be looking to match? Seems to me that lack of upperclass (players that have been team members for more than 2 seasons) talent could be one of the big problems facing the Griz currently. :coffee:

I agree with that, Hammer, but for some reason Brzeczek makes me think of Johnny Edwards. Was anyone else at the 2000 ISU game when Miller's knee was injured and third-string Johnny stepped in for Nick Walker? Though Miller was a clear leader with impressive accuracy and skill at the time (unlike TM or SSH), Edwards showed his leadership potential that day. I have no stats, playing experience or technical knowledge of the game to back up my thoughts...just a feeling. Call it intuition. Adam reminds me of Johnny Montana.

Except, from all accounts and his senior year HS highlight video, he throws the ball better then Edwards.
