When a guy like Larry says that it is a difference making recruiting class and maybe the best ever that is quite a statement. He obvioulsy impressed Calvary of Gonzaga when he coached him in CBA. Bobcats had what could end of being a setback when one of their early verbals decided to wait to sign. I doubt anyone in the BSC will get any where near a top 20 JC in the nation. Way to go Krysko and staff!!

here's why krysko's class is so exceptional:
1. for the second year in a row, he's recruited a quality player in the 6'11"-7'0 range. big sky teams generally do not get kids this big (6'8" or 6'9" being more the norm for a post player) and they do not get kids this big that were apparently being looked at by the likes of washington state, wisconsin, fresno state and north carolina.
2. many big sky teams recruit two-star players but seldom to they get three-star players, as rundles seems to be. eastern washington brought in a three-star kid last year, but if you look at lists of big sky recruits, you find none this year.
3. most big sky teams do not get top-50 jaycee transfers, as gus chase is. we are probably the last to get one in kamaar davis, and look at the impact he had on the conference.
4. this class follows on the heels of two successive classes that have been exceptional, with strait and martin emerging big sky stars as sophomores, while kyle sharp is poised to start as a true freshman and talented kids like van vliet, swift and hasquet are sure to make their marks. heretofore, montana recruited "projects" and hoped for the best--mckay, easley, pederson, greenwalt, don carter, dominique davis, buckmaster. not a single kid in the last three recruiting classes comes in as a "project" but as a high-rise las vegas condo.

City,

I pretty much agree, except we did use to get 6' 11" guys, they just were not very good lately. Gus Chase is top 20, not top 50. All in all, great great class....again!

Was this already posted. I love Krysko's recruiting, if he stays the dream of becoming the next Gonzaga could actually become closer to reality than most realists every believed. Still far fetched, but Krysko is impressive in many ways.
