Recruit question

Not sure if this has been asked but can and will recruits request the NCAA/University to release them from their LOI now that this has unfolded. And if they would be allowed to do any of you see any players doing this?

My guess is the University would not stand in the way of any player that would like to leave, be it incoming or current member of the team. I have also heard that they are asking some players to leave the program.

I think that any recruit who wants out will get out and I am pretty certain that many will! I expect that signing day list to look a lot different come August 9th.

Alpha is reporting on Bobcat nation that there are four players being kicked off who have yet to be named as well as four more involved in sex assault cases that have been kept under wraps somehow. I don't think at matters if JJ was going to be one of the one's asked to leave as I have received multiple texts from Missoula today indicating he is transferring anyway.

is the asst. A.D. responsible for the day to day activities of the griz football program? who is maintaing contact with the incoming recruiting class? who is the stable figure taliking to the current team members? who takes over spring ball? the president must have had a plan for all this or he wouldn't have made a decesion like this just based on the emotion of a moment, would he? this is a cluster to say the least...

Missoulian is reporting that today's practice is "closed", and I believe it's their last one until they come back from spring break? I'm sure most of those questions will have been answered by then.

Having been in a leadership position for most of the last 25 years, sometimes you DO have to make decisions like this before you have answers to all the questions. Nature of the beast. Obviously you'd prefer not to have to do things that way, but life isn't always that simple....
