Reasons why the Griz are better this year

No, you said there was evidence. Don't lie.

It's a long season and there is now 1 solid half of play....anyone drawing conclusions right now is foolish. There should be none drawn after this weekend as well. Let's get a couple games into the conference before annointing them.

I'm now convinced you neither played the game, nor practiced law.

There was in fact all kinds of evidence. By definition, evidence includes information.

No, there have now been 4 straight solid to great halves of play. No, anyone who can't see the o-line is much improved and deeper knows nothing about football and/or is a total idiot.

Ya ya, never played the game or practiced law. Further "evidence" of your stupidity.

If you ever held a gun when you were in the military, I'm surprised you didn't shoot yourself in the foot.

Good Lord, do you even watch the games...4 quarters.

Honestly, I think you are a cat plant sent here to torment those who actually know about the game. Seriously, are you even from Montana?

Good lord, you are an idiot. You know nothing about the game, or the Griz. Please stop.

Great-grand parents on both sides started ranches in the 1880s. Native American side here in the1600s, I assume.

What's your MT pedigree?

What's your football pedigree?

Oh, and I watch all the games. Talk to coaches after the games, including on the field at home games. Sometimes talk to players and parents too. Text some parents during the week, and during the games.

Where do you get your info?

:)

Wait. Timeout. Are we talking about last year?

I'm not going to let this gem go without recognition. Solid!

You know what else is solid. Bauman being the 12th ranked QB in the Big Sky after you telling us he’d be in the top 3 based on his stats. Amazing how dumb you are when it deals with actual football.

I said nothing about top 3, I only made a guess at the numbers and where he'd be at the end of the season. Keep watching sweetie...

I never saw your prediction for what his stats would be after the season - why don't you take a stab and we'll see who ends up being closer? Obviously you're super smart dealing with actual football.

Go back to the post. I gave you my predictions. And believe me I’m a shit ton closer than you are. Yes you did say top 3 solely based on those idiotic numbers you gave, that would easily place him top 3 if not 1. That’s how dumb you are about football. That’s my entire point. And only your mother is allowed to call me sweetie.

Great just what we needed! Now your related to Elizabeth Warren. At least that explains a everything.

Like you said in another thread, PS has a hard-on for me.

PA, I'm a tribal member who grew up on the family ranch on the Fort Peck Reservation. No comparison to Warren in that regard. Let me know if you want more of my Native American pedigree.

Are we just naming reasons for why the Griz are better this year than last year? If so, I think it is because PlayerRep had them all to the lake house after the Spring game. Nothing makes the Griz (players and fans) more motivated to kick ass than hearing about his Dartmouth exploits!

Edit: As for a real answer to this question (I may have posted this earlier here), I think it is way to early to tell. Last year we started pretty strong with a good win at UNI. However, at the end of the season last year, I saw something I never saw from a Hauck coached Griz team--they quit games. So, for now, I think we look pretty good. I hope I can say that at the end of the season.

This baby is just getting rolling, it will ebb and flow the rest of the year depending on the result on a given Saturday. 117 pages is not out of the question.

I can hardly wait for the informative posts early Sunday morning when the Oregon game ends/bars close.

No one quit games last year. They ran out of gas, couldn't run the ball, tired, and couldn't hold on. Didn't have enough horses or depth.

I think UM has looked better in the first 2 games than they did in any game last year.

Yeah but I’ve been hearing shit like this for like a fucking decade. Griz start strong, maybe the first 5 games or so, but crap out down the road.

This year does feel a bit different and I swear it’s the O-line which has been more neglected than Main Hall in the last decade-long death spiral

you thought an egriz thread couldn't get dumber? i always suspected you had some inherent difficulty with logic, and now there's proof!

Your reasoning for the "quit" I saw might be correct. I still never saw a Hauck Griz team do that. I hope it's worked out.

I'm going with flow.

Also I'm considering starting a GoFundMe page for argh to get his Shift key fixed. Just considering it at this point.

Baby steps I guess.

As a dedicated Griz poster who knows the importance of each poster doing their 1/17th to get this thread to a respectable length, I will chime in. Although the sample size of two games is statistically small, as of right now, those two games are the point of reference......so:

'18 2-0 Both home wins, over a MVC team and a lower division cup cake. Pts For: 72 Pts Agst: 39

'19 2-0 One road win over a MVC team + a home win over a lower division cup cake. Pts F: 92 Pts Ag: 34

On the offensive side the 2019 Griz have more; 1st downs, rushing yards, passing yards, yrds/carry, and completion percentage.

On the defensive side the 2019 Griz are better in almost all categories and the few they are not are a wash.

Special teams is the same story, 2019 is better or equal in almost all categories.

I'm not saying, this trend will hold, I'm not saying the Griz won't peak early and fall off like last year. All I'm saying is that by any statistical analysis of the first two games, the GRIZ are better this year than last.
