RB- Terron "Tuk" Moses verbal

Welcome aboard Mr. Moses. Griz Nation welcomes you with open arms. In looking at your highlight video you seem to like the end zone. You will love Missoula!

Those little fast guys are hard to tackle. They just pop out from behind those big offensive lineman and you don't see em until they are already by you. His tapes were fun to watch!

Ursus should be here pretty soon to talk about how Stitt and his recruiting is an epic failure since he has had to stoop to stealing kids from D2 schools.

Was not going to post on this kid.....but you forced the issue

Actually I said here on out expect a lot of D2 kids since the FBS guys strung us along and we missed out on FCS kids waiting too long on too many.

Did this kid have only have D2 offers? Had this kid verballed D2? Have any FBS offered kids signed since I said that? Have some Griz offered FCS kids said "no" to Griz?

As for Tuk, will he be good???? Maybe he will I hope so. Is ge that fast? Track results from OK do not show it so where are the times from ? Is he the bigger back so many want? Is playing 2A in Ok *similar sizeto class B in MT a lot of school less than 300 enrollment the same as stats playing big school ball in CA, TX etc? I hope he works out, and think he has skills BUT time will tell.

But most importantly glad to see you are still enamored with me, kinda creepy but whatever you are in to.

Trying to time his speed to the line vs our previous backs. From what little I did, from the gun he is getting to the line of scrimmage almost .5 faster than our backs last year. That's is what we need and I loved his cutting ability. Kid is a stud at that level. Keep in mind 2A in OK is way better than any football in Montana. That being said this kid destroyed them and destroyed 4A OK teams when he played them too. Good get!

Ursus is right. I'm sure the staff waited too long on some kids that didn't pan out but, you don't get those kids unless you do wait....(we will call it recruiting chicken, first one who swerves loses). Well, the staff may have swerved into a diamond in the rough with Terron Moses. Stuff happens for a reason sometimes and this kid looks like lighting in a bottle. We will continue to see if this recruiting class turns into "an island of misfit toys" but that might just be for the best.

The issue with Ursus is that he has been attempting to make it a "Stitt" issue that recruiting has gone this way. He does not want to acknowledge that most FCS schools approach recruiting the same way, even previous Griz coaches. Sometimes you reap the reward of the risk and sometimes you don't. And Ursus, I am enamored with your "Eeyore" like personality and continued negativity towards anything Stitt.

Bigger than the 5'6"/buck 65 kid @ UISU, Dean, who pretty much did whatever he pleased when he had the ball against the Griz last season. Oh, and this kid is faster.

For those who are concerned about RB size, think Charles Dunn and Charles Roberts for two recent examples of how shorter backs can fare in the Big Sky. More important is the size and temperament of the OL.

Welcome to Griz Nation Tuk!

-- sarcasm font -- Oh, come on, get out of here with that common sense stuff. Everybody knows that running backs have to do all of it on their own. That's why Lex Hilliard, Chase Reynolds, etc. were so good. Had nothing to do with the O-Lines they ran behind! ;)

Not sure what you're smoking, but 2A is not WAY better than any football in Montana. Thats just plain wrong. I have watched District 1 the last couple years down here.

I would rate the classification, as close to top tiered A, maybe bottom tiered AA. There are always diamonds in the rough...and we got one here.

Moses also rushed for 1900 yds, and 38 tds his junior year in 11 games, but broke his leg in their first round playoff game in 2015. Looks like he has recovered nicely. Gotta love Vian's qb's name....Rayne Cloud.

I love how you seem to think you know about how recruiting goes it is cute. Maybe look at the other school in state and compare stratagies, or with EWU. Might learn something, and remember a post from others how coaches got tired of waiting on commitment so finslly turned elsewhere? They learned this year and hopefully next year adjust approach a little.

Early commits are very good so class will be okay (likely exception DB and OL). I like the early OL commits but when a program offers 15 OL and only get a couple shows they agree it was an area of need. Word is one OL still possible only has NAIA offers so you should be excited. Stitt's recruiting approach kept him a .600 coach in D2 so sure wouldn't want to mess with his plans.

Guess we will know more on signing day hopefully you are able to make it that long with out me replying to you....counseling is a good avenue.

Actually, you might be surprised how much I do know about the recruiting process. And FYI, I did not say the recruiting process was identical but the approach. EWU and MSU recruited borderline FBS players just like UM. Seems to me that the approach worked well for UM last season. I also have no issue with moving on from kids that would not commit, and every school does it. There are many things to question about Stitt, but the recruiting approach is not one. And to clarify, there is a difference between the overall recruiting approach and the process they employ. But I guess you would like them to approach recruiting by not going after any FBS low hanging fruit and miss out on the type of recruits it will take to be a player in FCS again.

Check out DII Northeastern St. (Ok) records. Not hard to see why he would upgrade his commit, but he must have worried about being homesick to commit there in the first place. 35 miles from his home. 11-43 over the last five years. Don't call us the Redmen, we are now the Riverhawks. The enrollment is 25% Cherokee.

I'm looking forward to a plethora of 1 yard runs up the middle!! Woo hoo! Daddy still wants a big back on the roster. Maybe all of our tiny RB's can join together into one giant running back... Like Constructicons !!

You must have missed the whole three range conversation. Plus we have green who is a back that can fill that request

Hope he's the next Griz great. Welcome aboard Terron. Anyone know if he is a preferred walk-on or a partial? If we got him to walk on I really like this addition. Not sure I'd throw money at this kid but what do I know, I'm just a guy behind a keyboard.

Highly doubtful you'd get a kid fro OK to come here as a walk on.

You are right but, we are his only chance at D1 football so maybe? My guess would be a partial but who knows, just speculating. Hope the kid is a great student, football player, and a great Missoulian during his time here. The Darren Sproles of the BSC!!!! :thumb:

Not a guarantee here, but in the past almost all out of state scholarships have been full ride. It's just been the nature of the beast. However, this coaching staff has been very creative with academic scholarships as well - much more so than in the past.
