Good point. A season the Bubs didn’t even play because it was “meaningless” at the time but not now apparently.
Like all things #bobcat, it only counts when it helps or makes the Bubs look good. If it doesn’t help or makes them look bad, then it doesn’t count.

I am sure to the players on the teams that did play, that the season had a lot of meaning. They were competing like they do in any other season and playing to the best of their ability. I am sure they didn't view it as just a scrimmage. JMU, SDSU, NDSU are three excellent teams that played their best in that season, asterisk or not. The reason the Cats and Giz did not play is because of the weather in Montana at that time of the year and the risk of injury. It was a smart move.

It was the cats that were afraid to play. The Griz were 2-0 and it's in the record.
