Rank your choices for Head Coach

1. Hauck
2. Pease
3. Stitt

In any order, really. All have strengths and weaknesses that have already been pointed out. Just pick one and let's get on with this and start preparing to tear some new a----holes in the BSC next season!
GO GRIZ!

You didn't enjoy dominating the BSC?? I sure did.

Hauck is an asshole and we don’t need another go around with that.

Plus I don’t think Hauck would be successful in today’s BSC. The expanded BSC is more competitive than before, and Bobby’s recent record at UNLV (15-48) demonstrates he is not the coach many believe him to be.

I’d take Delaney out of retirement before I would want Bobby back.

First off Bobby is not an asshole. Do you even know him personally? He's an intense hard nose guy but he is also more personable and likeable then people realize who don't know him. His family are terrific people and die hard Griz fans. Dont spout off sht that you know nothing about. One of the main reasons he left here was because some me fans were never satisfied always harping on him. How many times have we been back to the title game since he left? How many BSC championships have we won since then?

I have met Bobby and consider him a selfish asshole. I know people that know him well and consider him an asshole. You are right that his family are/were terrific (at least his brother Tim and his Dad, Bobby Sr., both of whom I met). I don’t know what happened to Bobby to create such arrogance (?). His Dad and brother were/are not at all like that.

I think Hauck would have little hope of reproducing his earlier Griz coaching record in today’s enlarged and more competitive BSC. His record at UNLV of losing 48 out of 63 games speaks for itself. Griz can do much better.

How's this for being non-committal.

1a. Stitt
1b. Hauck
1c. Pease

With each I see advantages and challenges and they're all different. I don't see a "clear cut" choice.

Stitt; highly recommended and considered a genius on offense. Should be an innovator and will get this offense scoring more points per game. On the other hand, no FCS experience, outside of the "Griz family", a strong but not a stellar record in the D2 ranks. I would say maybe the highest risk and the highest reward hire.

Hauck; Dominated the Big Sky 5+ years ago, well connected, great recruiter, well connected in the Montana "family". Would bring an experienced staff. On the other hand, the Big Sky has changed as has campus culture, can he adapt? What happens if a major issue comes up? Probably the "safest" hire in terms of on-field but I really worry he wouldn't get "fair" treatment by main hall if there's more adversity.

Pease; another guy that should be a huge spark to the offense, a guy who's ability as an offense-minded coach got him all the way to the SEC. I had heard he actually interviewed just as well or maybe better than Pflu in 2009/10 but didn't show a good plan for an organized staff. On the other side, has a reputation that travels with him as a jerk and as a job hopper, I believe the longest he may have stayed with a program since leaving Montana was 3 years at Boise. I also wonder why Chris Peterson chose a relatively inexperienced Jonathan Smith over his prior OC Pease when he brought Pease on staff at UW. Pease without any HC experience is a lot like Stitt, high risk, high reward.

We have/had 2 OC's so lets try 3 HCs! That way we keep fresh legs as the season wears on. As far as I can tell with this plan any 3 will do.

No doubt MD wore down....

I start the topic, and no one asks me my coach rankings? :thumb:

I guess I am stitt-out-of-luck. 8-)

#1 Bob Stitt - Offensive guru, personality of a great leader.
#2 Bobby Hauck - Good recruiter, hard-nosed.
#3 Brent Pease - Good OC experience.
#4 Ty Gregorak - #1 league defense, has coached countless all conf players.

Any of the 4 would be great. All 4 would need to keep the defensive staff, as we were #1 in the conference. They would need to keep Justin Green as well, since he is our recruiting coordinator, and he is a good RB coach that players look up to.
