Random Thoughts On The Game

A loss is a loss, all opinions aside.
So you would feel EXACTLY the same about a 50 point home field loss to a DII team as a 6 point road loss to App State? I wouldn't.

Or would you feel the same about a 6 point loss to App State the second game of the year versus a 6 point loss to App State in the NC? Not me.

Sure statistically it is just one loss but not all losses feel the same. Of course that is just my opinion which you say should be set aside. It doesn't ring true that the circumstances of a loss should never matter.

My Dad always taught me that respect is earned, not automatically given. Nowhere is that truer than with the Griz and the Mountaineer's. Great game, Great atmosphere and a Great win for ASU.

As for those who would like to see more friendly rivalries like this one, all I can say is that the Bobcats will always be the Bobcats and Idaho will always be Idaho!

Is anyone wondering about Lider's extra points? After seeing 3 near misses left, I was holding my breath on the last one. If he can't point an extra point straight through the middle every time (unless blocked), how can we count on even a short field goal?

I'm not sure we can. Though he only missed the one, he shanked every extra point hard to the side. Noticed he did the same even on his kick offs. Hope that is addressed SOOOOOON.
:ugeek:

One thing I like about the evolving Griz offense is that the passing attack has become more vertical; this in place of last week's throwing predominantly to the sideline. Bodes well for involving the WR on lengthening the field and opening it up for the RBs.
