Rachac tweets Jordan Johnson is expelled

UNLV learned a thing or two from the Tarkanian years where only winning counted...they have never fully recovered...

If by never fully recovered you mean 5 NCAA tournament appearances in the last 6 years, and currently have one of the best recruiting classes in the history of the Mountain West being put together right now then yes, you're probably right.

I have followed Montana football for over 65 years. I've watched the ups and downs, so I'm not too suprised by what's going on.I've noticed two things over the years; The bad language of the web site contributers, and the lack of discipline of the football program. The anything goes attitude of the MU football program will be it's undoing. It already has a reputation among the other schools as a rouge program. It needs to be cleaned up and NOW.

So people using swear words on eGriz are contributing to the downfall of UM athletics?

Where have all the sane people gone? Mishandling of rape accusations and bad words on an web page with no official school ties are about as unrelated as two things can be.

Kayla with KECI recently tweeted that the decision isn't final until Engstrom approves it, he'll review it next week.

All I have to add is that the university better be right. There are going to be alot of ramifications to the actions that were taken. If it is learned later that the accusations were false or not severe than those making the decisions should be terminated and the accuser held accountable. If he did something atrocious then he should be held accountable..no doubt. Without facts being presented we will never know. That gives alot of power and anonymity to those making the decision. Too much power!

The record doesn't represent the reputation UNLV earned while under Tarkanian, deserved or not, nor the coaching troubles they have had until recently. It has been 20 years +, so yes, I guess some people have forgotten. Long Beach State also took years to recover from Tark....so, in a couple of decades.....

You are correct. We have the same thing going on a national level as well, though, admittedly, the stakes are higher. Due process is a right everyone deserves...and we do not seem to know if that was applied here, or not...this is not a great moment in our history. The fear of lawsuits is driving much of this I am afraid.

I think it's because he doesn't even make an attempt at humor or levity, just plain old insults. He comes off as arrogant and bitter.

He does get attacked a lot but he mostly brings it on himself. He reminds me of an old Indian proverb that has been handed down many generations across the plains.

“man with itchy butt has smelly fingers”

An all time classic egriz post. LMAO ROTFL :thumb:

+1

Uhmmm....

What, now?

People really believe someone is expelled based on only one person saying something without any investigation or other facts? Uhhh ok

Okay, 20 hours later, this story still is not on either the Gazette nor the Missoulian web site. What does that mean?

No one will confirm the story on the record, and there are also privacy issues.

It means no one at UM officially acknowledged it. Royce 'courage' Engstrom will probably cite privacy concerns for JJ next week and say nothing.

I would guess since the recommendation for expulsion from the Board needs Engstrom's signature, it's not yet official.
