WTF? I wonder if those places withdrew offers, or if he just chose UM. At any rate, I bet he's glad he's not playing for CSU or ISU. The former because they suck and the latter because he probably wouldn't see so many early minutes in the Big XII.

According to scout.com, Qvale had offers from Washington State, Wyoming, Boise State, Idaho and Wichita State. So far I've been Very impressed with Qvale. No idea which FB programs were after him though....

Is it an established fact that he indeed did get a scholarship offer to play football. I have read quite a bit about his recruitment and have never come across that little bit of info.

BTW: Selvig, Qvale and even Bobby Howard committed so early that many programs who were thinking about offering them never got a chance.

I'm sure it's a fact, it's just weird that on a Griz board nobody can substantiate it.

If I told somebody I got an offer to play college tiddlywinks, the first thing he/she would ask is, "where?". To which I'd probably reply, "in the mailbox". And then he/she would say, "No, from whom did you receive this offer?"

I'm just saying it's weird how nobody here has been curious enough to ask...

True. It was ALL Selvig and Kwale being buds. They wanted to play D-1 together, and what other prgranm could guarantee that? We got a couple legit studs. Selvigs' Montana legacy predicated him coming here. He helped direct Kwale, which I never thought would be the coup of the 2, but Kwale is the real deal for sure. His potential is truly unlimited. He's a force already as a frosh.
