Quick scrimmage write up

That time of the month Intuitive? You should actually attend a scrimmage before going off. MD an old buddy of yours that we can't disagree with?

Positive sign for the day. Griz fans are knocking on each other again instead of cant fans. Miraculous actually - cant's have been on us pretty hard lately. This must be a good sign.

I actually think Intuitive is correct and that McKinney is the #2.

to me, unless someone shows that they are clearly number 2 without any doubt, I believe the reps should go to the rs gustufson for the future...sounds like gustufson is holding his own and about equal to trent and ssh...I agree, after jj there is a big drop off... we must get better at this back up position,,,selle"s memory is still fresh in my mind.....

Gustafson has been extremely disappointing so far this fall. His reads aren't very good and he almost always sticks with his pre-snap #1. Almost every team needs to rely on their backup during the season so if it is Gustafson I wish him the best.

Personally, I still believe McKinney is the best option at #2. His experience from last year will serve him well.

In two years I still think Simis will be the QB.

Well you guys are doing good enough bashing each other. So what I've learned so far is...

You have a bunch of injuries, namely your star drop down RB.
Your O line isn't as deep as you all thought.
You don't have a #2 QB playing anywhere in the same universe as JJ.
Your secondary will be about as good as they last year.
Kicking game is in trouble.
Already some coaching WTF's. Please tell me this doesn't surprise anyone.
You might be done practicing due to smoke.

But despite all that... Many of you are convinced you're a lock for Frisco. Sounds about like your average Fall on Egriz,

What we know is the cats are pussies like you! Gale seems ok yet lays on the turf and cries out "oh my knee" " it's my knee". Pussy. Efin sprain and makes it sound like a major injury  quit your cryin. Now we can introduce him as "oh it's my knee Gale".

It's my knee he yells so everyone in WY can hear him. The fans comment as he yells it almost made me puke. Good grief go make your boyfriend scream shit for brains.

Montana over State by 25 just like last time at Bozeman.

The only time SSH should be on the playing field is when he runs across it coming out of the tunnel.

I'll cone to the defense of Shay here. This system is different than the last 3 years, the need for a mobile QB is greatly reduced. Shay is fairly smart in the pocket and makes good throws for the most part. Going back to more of a pro style system Shay stands tall and scans the field better than McKinney, Gustafson, or Simis. I still have concerns with his slower throwing motion but that's improved over last year. He's a smart guy and has adapted to the system pretty well.
So you like those rainbows he throws with plenty of hang time for the defenders? We know he makes up for it with his footspeed. Review last year's MSU game; just what we need more of. NAIA all the way....

Poorgriz, can you elaborate on your comments and at least tell us where you're getting your info?

Travon Van has a sore knee. Since when is that an "injury problem"? Do MSU players not get sore? I read today Brad Daly and tanner Bleskin have been held out of practices? If they are injured, then please, by all means, share that info. If they are just hurt, it's no different than Travon. So what other injury "problems" do the Griz have? The only true injury I've heard of out of Griz camp is to Weyer and it's a pulled hammy. Not a major like Davis or Gale.

Why are the Griz lacking o-line depth? Because ONE o-lineman who had played about 10 snaps in his entire career quit? The roster I'm looking at sure as heck doesn't show a lack of depth.

QB i'll give you. But no different than any other college football team with a true AND clear-cut star at QB, including MSU.

Why is the Griz' secondary bad in 2013? Because JJ is lighting em' up? 2012, no question, bad!!! But camp isn't an indication, just as I'm sure you're still very high on Bethley, Barnett and Flowers even when DM drops bombs in practice. Griz' secondary is a concern to me still, but it has zero to do with JJ torching em'. We'll see when Appy rolls to town and when the Griz go to North Dakota.

Place-kicking game I totally agree. HUGE RED FLAG THERE! But not the kicking game. The Griz can kickoff and cover just fine and Stephen Shaw is a GREAT, not good punter. So it's not the entire kicking game.

What are the WTF moments from the coaching staff??? How the hell can anybody see em when practices are closed???

Forest fires I'm pretty certain are beyond the control of the mighty Griz. Not sure why you mentioned that like the team is doing something bad because Missoula is smokey. But I can promise you this, if the Griz have to, they'll pick up and move. Practices won't be DONE as you put it. It's happened before. Nothing new to Missoula.

Lastly. FIND ONE QUOTE on Egriz that says these exact words: "Griz are a lock to go to Frisco in January of 2014". If you can find one with those exact words, that was posted BEFORE this thread was started, I'll bring a case of beer of your choice and wear a Bobcat T-shirt to your tailgate on Nov. 23.

I'm with you here Kem... there are a few posters here who won't call it the way it is for fear of sounding negative or possibly limiting personal gain. "Every day is sunny and everyone plays just awesome.  :egriz:
