just a comment. Griz are playing clean ball. Only 2 penalties Friday makes a huge difference!Recording tonight! Plenty to talk on from the Panda Bowl and as the post season picture starts to form up.
My question is why can’t Montana build the trenches like SU? What barriers exist to accomplishing that? It’s pretty clear Montana hasn’t been able to build offensive and defensive lines that can physically match North Dakota State, and to be fair, Montana State hasn’t either (history backs that up). My question is: do we actually need to?
This season, Montana’s elite skill players have been able to tilt games, almost taking a page out of those Vernon Adams/Cooper Kupp-era EWU teams, but with Montana’s resources and coaching behind it.
Is this finally Bobby Hauck acknowledging that we simply cannot out-NDSU NDSU in the trenches, no matter how hard we try, but we can absolutely compete, and beat them by leaning on:
-Elite quarterback play to maximize space and matchups
-Elite Perimeter receivers and speed
-Slot-hybrid freak show playmakers who stress space (Wortham)
-Elite Running backs used horizontally (toss, screens, outside zone)
-Quickness over brute force
-Misdirection and spacing concepts
-Elite special teams and returners to swing momentum and shorten fields
With the consistent inability to match NDSU’s line strength, is skill-position dominance realistically our only viable path to beating them?
I’m not sure why Montana can’t build trenches like NDSU, but history shows we simply don’t. They’ve sent a ton of linemen to the NFL and look like a good FBS program up front. For whatever reason, we can’t match that.My question is why can’t Montana build the trenches like SU? What barriers exist to accomplishing that?
Agreed, cat-griz at the end of the year sucks for whoever loses if both teams are top 5Given the Dakota Marker game is always played in October, would you like to see Griz-Cat game moved earlier in the season? That gives the loser some weeks to potentially get back on a winning streak and not go into the playoffs on a loss. This year the loser could possibly lose a high seed to Tarlton or not overtake them.
Love it but one at a time Bama, let’s get one at a time. GO GRIZ!the over/under at 135 on the combined score for the Griz for the next 3 weeks. Opponents is 30.
Thats an average of 45-10.

No. I want to game to be the last game of the regular season. If you can’t win when it REALLY matters, then….Given the Dakota Marker game is always played in October, would you like to see Griz-Cat game moved earlier in the season? YesWill Sacramento State even have a football program next season?
Did the Grizzlies put the final nail in the coffin of them moving up?
Is this really a question? The scats played Idaho State and Cal Poly the next game after the Griz beat them up. The same will be true for Weber State. Why don't the Griz play a team the week after the scats this season?
Funny, Sac State petitioned to join the ranks of the FBS, but they were denied because no FBS conference wanted to give them an invitation. Will Sacramento State even have a football program next season?

Wortham, from the Sacramento area, said Sac State had three opportunities to pick him up, and passed on all three.I think I have the question of all questions.
What…in the actual hell… made Michael Wortham choose Eastern Washington over the Grizzlies??? He is clearly having a blast with us and is probably the best all purpose player in the FCS.
