I have a lot of fun whenever I encounter a Bizon fan in the wild (couple times a year). I say 'Bison' like a normal human being, they try to "correct" me to 'Bizon' like psychopaths, and I keep pronouncing it correctly because I'm a functioning adult who can speak English at a fairly decent level. They hate it, I love it, and a good time is always had by me.

See, the difference is that EVERYONE pronounces Missoula correctly. Only nokakers pronounce "biSon" incorrectly. That's a lot in one sentence, so read slowly, and don't be afraid to take your time to digest all of the information presented.

If it may help, I might add that the way your pronounce biSon is like pronouncing "buffalo" as, say, "bukkalo". That is to say, it's wrong, and it's stupid.
