Question on school flags

I know we have people here that are involved in this so I thought I'd pose the question here. With HB 819 limited what flags you can fly can MSU and UM fly their school flags? I noticed the wording of the free press article says school district and mascot flags are allowed but MSU and UM are not school districts. And a flag that says MSU or UM is not a mascot. So are they allowed or not on state property, which bothe universities are.

We all know what happened Monday in Missoula and I dont think we need to debate that. Im only curious as to how the law pertains to our universities.

I looked at bill and it does allow school and mascot flags.

We could ask Mike for his opinion given his position in the council.

The video attached above discusses various opinions and sides of the situation.

To deviate from the topic, has Missoula's acquisition of it's water infrastructure resulted in improvements, declines, or status quo?

I feel it has resulted in improvements - they've replaced a bunch of water mains and other things that were on deferred maintenance for a long time, they've been able to combine the sewer bill with the water bill, so you're paying a little more per month, but then you don't have to budget once or twice a year for like a $90-$100ish sewer/maintenance bill (to be fair, I don't exactly remember what the additional bill was for). Other than that, my bill has been mostly the same as when the Carlyle Group had it.

They've upgraded a bunch of residential water meters that eventually will allow you to connect to their billing system with an app and you can view for yourself your realtime water flow rate/use, or get a notification right away when your water use spikes randomly (which could indicate a leak/running toilet or something). I do know that there were some weird billing things that happened when folks got new water meters installed at their house - which....I think was some sort of glitch in their system that they swept under the rug - which was very bad imo.

Overall, I feel it has been a net positive - but that is just me. I know other folks feel quite a bit differently and have had more/other issues than I have had, so it may be due to the part of town I live in there are less issues? I dunno.

My take anyway.

Also, UM doesn't quite fall under the same restrictions (at least I don't think - I could be wrong) as primary education (K-12 public schools) for some reason, so as far as I know, the same restrictions don't / didn't apply to any of the MUS institutions (including UM).

"Pulled" makes it sound like a heist, or a back-alley deal. Didn't a distinct government body simply enact a law, much like the legislature? Why is one "pulling" something and the other not? Seems as though the two things are equal to me.
We all know why someone would say "pulled".

I agree. Me and my buddies used to try to pull girls all time in college. I'm grateful I wasn't wandering alleys trying to steal them.

P.S. pulled far fewer than the stories I told...;)
