I thought UM got away with a lateral, not that it would have mattered at that time. Of course, NDSU got away with a horsecollar that changed the momentum and had a real impact, but we will never know..

If you'll notice on the horsecollar non-call, the defender had both hands on the ball carrier. One hand was on the back of the jersey in the horsecollar area, while the other hand of the defender #5 was on the side of the shoulder pads. The horsecollar was not called because of a 2-handed tackle. A one-handed tackle would have drawn the flag, but the defender pulled the ball carrier down with BOTH hands. With that said, it was a debateable call, but was not called due to the 2-handed tackle, avoiding a 1 handed easy to call horsecollar. I encourage you to watch the video.
