Question About Carroll College

Hello everyone. Since I live in Utah I have only seen short clips or have heard of the dominance of the Saints football program led by Mike Van Diest over the past several years. After watching a few highlight videos and doing some homework on the program I was wanting to know why the Saints have not considered moving up to at least DII? They would fit right in with the GNAC conference that currently has several other good teams. If they joined it would be:

GNAC:
-Simon Frasier
-Dixie State
-Carroll College
-Humboldt State
-Western Oregon
-Central Washington
-Azusa Pacific (Looks to be moving up to DII June 1st this year)

Not to shabby of a league and honestly I would love to see the Saints do well in DII. Just wanted to know have they considered it? Or if they havent what are their reasons for not wanting to try and move up?

I believe they want to stay in the NAIA instead of joining the NCAA.

If Carroll moved up to DII, they lose natural rivals, especially Montana Tech. That game had over 10,000 people at it in Helena last year and adds significant travel costs to your football program.

...at carroll..regarding the scholar athlete...
...and the emphasiz iz on the scholar part...

... 8-) ...

NAIA and NCAA are not the same organization. Even though they function in similar ways they are not the same. NAIA is a very good fit for Carroll

Can anybody tell me that for what NAIA and NCAA stands for? Mean, what is the full form of these (organizations)? Thanks
