Quarterfinal Odds

I don't buy it. I think Yale figured out how to defend them. Lamson had nowhere to run, and they shut down the passing game. I also think Yale came in with stout offensive and defensive lines that matched msu's physicality. SFA has the QB and athletes to expose that defense. I also don't buy the whole Texans playing in the cold thing. Remember Coastal Carolina? If I recall, that game was around zero degrees. They did just fine.
I think Yale surprised a whole lot of people. I watched them off and on throughout the season. They never really impressed me that much, then they beat Harvard and Youngstown, and I still thought it was a fluke until the Puds game. That changed my mind. Idc if they say it was a bad day, or the wind did this or that. Yale played a great game, with a little bit better talent, I believe they would have beaten the bubs.

They didn't and here we are. SFA has NEVER played well up north. I know there is always a first time for everything, but this is not that time. I think MSU is going to put at least 35 on SFA, minimum. I hope SFA brings their A game, plays flawless, and has to come to UM the following week so the Griz can send them packing back to Texas instead of MSU.

I don't see that happening,.

Would love to see Vidlak come to WaGriz next week.

We beat SFA 70-14 in 1995 in the semi at home. We named our charter flight “77to14” on the way to Marshall. So, go SFA, BEAT THE KITTENS! Love to play them in a semi final again!
They are still bitter about losing the '95 championship here. There is a lot of Marshall paraphernalia up for the 1996 Championship but ZERO about the '95 championship. I fly my Griz flags every Saturday during football season.

Yale matched them in the trenches on both sides of the ball. They were an excellent team. Everyone said the cats played bad but the Yale athletes and coaching had a lot to do with that. I don't expect SFA to be that good but I really don't know much about them.
I agree SJ. Obviously I knew nothing about Yale coming in, but after the game I personally was surprised. Sure the Cats did some things to hurt themselves, including some bizarre penalties by the OL we haven't seen; but Yale was much better than I assumed they were. They were chippy and played hard through the whistle. They were a good team.

Before I lay any money on SFA, I would like to know:

Will the entire starting offense spend the night drinking for free at The Crystal?
Might help if they did.
I keep thinking about SFA's barefoot kicker attempting to smash balls on msu's dirty rug in 15 mph winds and 37 degrees.

You didn't say what day that you found him, Saturday? or Sunday.
lol. I found him Saturday. WELL after the game was over. He'd made his way to the Press Box. We were both shitfaced. We crashed at one of those dive hotels on Broadway (was either City Center or Bel Aire), then walked to my sister's house in the morning clear down on Reserve & 7th Street...THAT was fun (not).

I've had those days, 6 drunks in small town and had a tab in every bar, lead guy had to guide us 'cause the sunlight was so bright 5 of us couldn't or wouldn't open our eyes.
