QB update

Brown ain’t it. It needs to be Johnson.

We’ve entered the era of the transfer portal and more and more championships are going to be won by QBs on teams for only one or two years. At every level. This is where college football is at.

I'm sure the coaches will make the correct decision and won't give 2 shits about your opinion. Brown is a good qb... 👍 quit hating because you don't understand football, this is obvious.

Nobody is hating, we are simply being realistic. Brown has given us literally zero reason to believe he is the answer, with a decent body of evidence to draw from. I'm curious as to why you believe otherwise. Faith???

Your hurting and saying hurtful things. It’s ok, we get it. At least you’re sure the coaches will make the right decision and not lean on egriz to make that call. Too many of us worry that they make their decisions based off our posts. OBVIOUSLY that would be a bad idea.

I was told that Brown has come in very focused. He physically has the tools and from what I have heard he is very smart and hard working. Whomever is playing there next year will play better with a healthy Knight, Ostmo and maybe Gilman. If you can't run the ball effectively then defenses can tee off with more elaborate pass rushes and pass defenses. I would like to see Brown run more when things break down. Especially in man coverage when they are sending guys. Cam got pretty good at that and even though he wasn't real fast he had some real crucial runs at key times. I think having Johnson here is great whomever starts. If he starts then Brown and Britt have a mature, veteran team guy to learn from. If he doesn't then they have a mature, veteran team guy to support them and then step in if they struggle. It is all good! Go Griz1

It's going to take a hell of lot more than "focus" for Brown to even become a starting level QB, let alone a championship caliber one. I hope you are correct, but the current body of evidence gives me very little faith. When push came to shove in crunch time, the coaches believed more in the team videographer than Brown.

Thanks for the update. Really like Brown. Hope that the troubles he has had with awareness is something they can coach him up on. My fear is that pocket awareness might be an unattainable intangible for him. Fingers crossed.

I’m not sure it’s really his awareness. It’s more his inability to read the D on the snap. He has no progress through his reads. When he does you can’t tell he can’t trust himself. He can learn those things but still sometimes live environment is too much to handle at the D1 level. He’s still young

I always like your feedback and input but in this case I have to disagree people keep saying Brown is young but he isn’t this is his fourth year in the system

Bobby is giving Brown every opportunity to make it as a QB at UM. He must believe it is possible.

Bobby also believes Germer is bringing back DOLA any minute now, so his POV is suspect imo.

Had already read it before you asked the first time. Any egrizer on here complaining about lack of info that hasn’t read it should banned for life.

if you want to get somebody band from egriz, you gotta at least be able to spell it right!

It seems like Johnson has looked good. Brown has shown some improvement (and is young). Britt also has shown that he can make plays. I hope they will be good. Then again, they might not be good. But I think they will be good. If Bobby knew who was leading the competition at this time, he would definitely tell the media. That tells me it is anybody's game.

Bobby? Bobby Hauck? Bobby Hauck, Head Coach of the Griz??? Suddenly he's a fountain of information? The guy plays his cards like W.C. Fields. Sarcasm???

I’d say obviously but I guess it wasn’t obvious enough.

Egriz grammar or any grammar for that matter has never been one of my strong points.

What did I say that isn’t accurate? Brown has the tools and looks the part but what he’s shown to this point on the field is that he doesn’t have it between the head.

Maybe with reps and all that he gets it figured out. I hope so because he could be a stud. But to this point his pocket awareness is about as bad as I’ve seen. I hope he comes in and just blows everyone away. But I won’t hold my breathe.

Not sure why you got so upset unless you know him personally

Brown has to be Addict's brother-in-law.

Thanks for posting this, AWF. I wonder how many will read the article?

I read that website everyday.

But yes, you asked a good question. And the answer is very few will, because egrizzers are typically lazy, ignorant sobs that just live to complain instead of actually understanding the game. 😆😂🤣💯😡

Disclaimer: Serious post.
I read the article twice, which is my bare minimum for comprehension (Seven being optimal. After that, diminishing returns), and I honestly don’t understand what I’m missing. QBs are getting better with more practice? I’m sincerely unintelligent, and I hope someone can point out the obvious to people like me with this one.
