QB transfer?

This particular Bobcat fan sincerely hopes Bobby sticks around exactly the same way Gris fans hoped Ash stuck around. Please and thanks.

No Griz fan wanted Ron Ash to stick around. He was the best coach in Bobcat history. I would’ve preferred that Choach stuck around because he had a shitty overall record and was a bumbling idiot that made people laugh.

And, Choate took the Griz to school!

Dude was hilarious! It was funny because he was fat and really dumb. He was like a cartoon character. I’m surprised nobody ever followed him around playing a tuba. I miss him.

However, he went on to the U of Texas and is making the big bucks.

Is that where he went? That’s awesome. Like when Forrest Gump met Bear Bryant.

PLAYED for Bear Bryant. ;)

I meant the failing upwards aspect when Forrest was running from the bullies and Bear Bryant first sees him.

Not wanting to parse too much of this, but I'll just agree with CDA that Choate was a highly engaging speaker and very entertaining. Media, fans, boosters, and apparently gris fans all loved to hear him speak.

I'll also agree with BS33 that he made gris nation his bitch.

Lots of truthisms rolling out in the last several posts. Well done internet.

He was incredible! He'd shake those jowls around and grown Bobcat fans would swoon. Ketchup popsicle to a lady in white gloves level salesmanship. The most endearing thing about him is that he barely even knew what he was saying most of the time. I like to believe he was actually a genius and the whole "I'm just a simple caveman" persona was an act.

How much longer until the five-year wait period is up and Coach Ron Ash’s khakis can be enshrined in the msu hall of fame?

Does msu have a hall of fame?

He certainly knew when to call a timeout, that's for sure! Those moments when we called timeouts were my absolute favorite. Again, the internet is winning today!!! This is an awesome trip down memory lane.

He definitely knew when to give the ref a handy and get an obviously too late time-out. 😉

Totally! Name me one other CFB coach who was able to call a timeout during a play. Can't do it. He was one of one.

With all his job-hopping, has anyone figured out how much eligibility he has left?

I'm betting at least one year, plus a bonus year because he is part of the "covid class".
As I look at his bios, he may have 3. Played in only one game in '21 at OSU, so that's a RS year and a handful of games at BSU in '22, so I would guess he's a RS sophomore.
