Out of curiosity, who is the number 2 qb? SSH has come in to replace McKinney a couple times but I thought Brezek (sp) was the next great hope. Anyone have some insight here?

SSH has been the system for a couple of years. What we don't need is a qb who still doesn't know the playbook. AB will earn his keep soon enough.
Go Griz!!

How about using, on occasion, SSH in the slot right behind the OT, so can either go out for pass, block, or be snapped the ball? This would keep defenses guessing a little more.

Right now it's Shay, and as I was told the reasoning why (and I've seen it posted here before) stems from the USD game where Brzczeck was apparently instructed to hand off the ball and not keep it on the zone read, he ignored those orders and it got him knocked back to 3rd string.

Seems like a lame excuse to me. How long has he been here and practicing? He's a Stanford kid for pete's sake. Surely he has enough brains to be somewhat efficient by now wouldn't you think?

Makes a lot of sense.

Surely can't disagree with that but has he had enough time to "gel" with the receivers and the routes they run. I really don't know. BW may be spot on if in fact the coaches say to do one thing and he does the opposite. Especially if it turns out bad.

IMO TM is gonna start to show huge gains and hopefully stays healthy so we won't have to worry about backups. I really hope its sooner then later like this weekend.
Go Griz!!

Certainly makes more sense than him not knowing the playbook. Wonder how long he'll be in the doghouse?

Not sure, it's been 3 weeks now, that seems like an awfully long time.

Take in a Louisiana-Monroe game yet this year??
2 qb's in the backfield at the same time... could be quite interesting. Look at what usual Sunbelt bottom dweller Louisiana Monroe has done so far with their 2 qb backfield with the spread option system. Beat some of the best teams in the country with two spread option type qb's. This type of system would obviously favor the running ability of A. Brez as the other rb/qb on the field vs drop back in the pocket QB SSH.....Of course with the two qb backfield, a team would probably have to have a few more qb's on the roster due to increased exposure to injury. Monroe has found their nitch. (embarrased BCS/SEC  foes).......Fun stuff to watch!

Would Mick be open to this sceme?...... Kemp off suspension yet?

Go Griz!
