Portland ain’t a state
What’s funny man is people that live outside of Portland refer to it as the “State of Portland “ as they do there own thing. I work in Building Codes and even in the local government community they are the State of Portland as they have there own amendments to the state building code. They do there own thing man. Let’s see what the State of Portland does...👍🏻😉.

That said I hope the Griz can get it done. Hillsboro stadium has treated the Griz right in the past. Weather is supposed to hold up so that’s a plus. Turn up strong Griz nations.. MONTANA...
The rest of the state would love to see Portland separated.
And lose Nike, Intel, etc? That would be unwise of them.
Two points, just FYI: Nike headquarters is in Beaverton ... part of the Portland Metro Area, but not part of Portland. Intel-Oregon is in Hillsboro, also a town distinctly separate from Portland. And both want to keep it that way, even though they're stuck with the Urban Growth Boundary.

Yet another old cocksure redneck talking out of his freakin' ass.
The City of Portland is costing its economy $ because of its actions. Many people will no longer go there. I know. I am one of them.

Separated from what? Portland has lots of cool places to go and things to see. Great restaurants and some really nice wineries. It is a wonderful city. When were you last there? And, what happened that so soured you on what I have experienced as a pretty cool city?

Show me the facts

Go downtown and look at all the closed signs after all the idiotic liberal duchebag millenial socialist/anarchist rioting....there's your evidence. And they wonder why they can't get jobs....another liberal utopia.....

Harm, If you are going to call liberals douchebags, you could at least learn to spell it correctly - however your statement reflects more on you than on them. Go Griz!

The "rioting" generally consists of counter protests to Proud Boy and other white supremacist group's inflammatory racist bullshit. Hmmm- I guess it's clear who you support in these standoffs. You must be proud of yourself (pun intended)!

Actually, Nike is an island of unincorporated land in Washington County so they don’t have to pay Beaverton city taxes. Kind of a sore point with the city...

Meh... Vikings are nothing but Vandals with boats.

On the other hand, downtown Portland frightens the shit out of me due to my unnatural fear of antiques, old books and artisan craft soaps.

Yep, and I knew about that (my brother-in-law lived in Hillsboro for many years). But I wanted to keep it simple ... that Nike wasn't in Portland proper. At least lots of Nike employees live where they do pay city taxes. :)

That's some strange logic you got there, but I think this is really better served on the political discussion board, since the verity of Antifa and Proud Boys has nothing to do with a football game this weekend.

Well, you see, I wouldn't have been motivated to make this post if Harm hadn't posted a political rant first. Odd that your comment isn't directed at him rather than me. Perhaps you feel more amenable to the content of Harm's comment and therefor choose to attempt to chastise me? Funny how right wing rants are seldom criticized here but responses to them are.

Yes. We support the ones who don’t beat innocent people and throw concrete milkshakes at journalists because they disagree with them.

That would be the Proud Boys then-the ones you support? Oh, I forgot, the Proud Boys and other white nationalist groups have been known to beat up numerous folks and even run over peaceful demonstrators with a car or two-but hey, guess you are fine with that. Antifa would not exist without the white nationalists they turn out to counter protest. Glad to see you're on the side of the Boys, et. al.Thanks for being up front about it. At least we all know where you stand

I recently registered on egriz though I have been a forum follower for many years. One of my favorite aspects of the forums for me is they are a sanctuary from the toxic political climate we are daily bombarded with. I hope it remains an anomaly for political opinions to sneak into forum submissions as happened in this one. I too am very strongly opinionated politically but I don’t want my opinions to be judgmental in a place I can go to relish the comradely of exchanging thoughts with a community of Griz fans. By the way, I find it hard to fathom the Griz losing to PSU this year.

Great post.

Don’t need to hear about the leftist whackos or the right wing nut jobs...

I come here to read about the Griz, laugh about the scats, and listen to bison2011 talk about how great the bisons are....
