PSU@NAU 2 March

Watched the game last night and had just a few thoughts:

1. How in the hell did the Griz beat PSU by only 1? That is a horrible team, top to bottom. It really scares me going into post season play that a team of that caliber can challenge the Griz. NAU dominated that game from the opening tip, and the game really wasn't as close as the score would indicate.

2. How in the hell is NAU's gym considered a Div. I facility? I graduated from Hamilton High School in small town Montana with a graduating class of 130, and our basketball facilities were twice that of this alleged "university". After seeing EWU's "gym" the other night, I can see where the moveup.org people are coming from.

3. Big Sky officals are truly some of the worst in the nation. No doubt in my mind. From letting a 2nd degree assult on one end go without a whistle to calling a foul for a dirty look on the other end, these clowns are affecting the game far too much. They're not even consistantly screwed up. As a coach in the Big Sigh, I'd be more concerned with these idiots than any opposing team's gameplan on a nightly basis.

Anyone who judges a team after seeing them play once is a fool, not to mention PSU has nothing to play for since they are ineligible for post season play. NAU is playing in a temporary facility while they are undergoing a remodel. You got the officiating part right though. :thumb:

1. PSU is a completely different team at home. The beat some pretty solid teams in Portland (Pepperdine, Weber, Fullerton, Riverside, etc). And obviously, the Griz were not playing well last weekend.

2. That's not NAU's normal facility, which is undergoing a reno. But believe it or not, there are other facilities in the BSC that are pretty damn comparable to what you saw at NAU.

3. You'll get no argument from anyone on this point.

1. Watched PSU play 3 seperate times, home and away. Not impressed. How Tapscott scored almost 30 still worries me. And that was a final game for PSU's seniors. Don't believe they wanted to go out like that.

2. Unaware of the remodel. Thanks for the tip.

3. Been following UM/Big Sky since mid 90's. Don't recall such comprehensive suck from the zebras before.

1) We were up and down this year. The sign of a so-so team. Not much on the line for the squad this year with the one year sanctions on us.

2) Temporary.

3) They don't screw you. They don't screw me. They screw us. Rotten and getting worse in my opinion. The last play of the UM@PSU game sums up BSC officiating this year. Seconds to go, we run the ball up court, drive, travel, no-call, wildly pass out, over and back, no-call, drain a fifty footer. End of game. Too bad we lost by one...
