PSU chop block wide out

Yeah, if that were a Cat player that ended that Weber State kids career I would probably say that it was an isolated incident too. In the end though, it was dirty and cheap and ended someone's career. Planned or not, coached or not, your team has done the same thing that you are complaining about with PSU. Maybe they are a little more dirty, but you both are in the same boat.

but it's not close. if one player decides to be a moron, that doesn't reflect on the entire team unless it's coached. there was never any indication that the griz coached that type of play....

let's put it this way. over the years, we have had some serious tools suit up for the cats unfortunately. some real meatheads. if one of them on their own decided to personally go after a guys knees and end their career....that wouldn't reflect poorly on the team.

no one considers the griz a dirty team. even with hauck, and his hatred for all that is blue and gold, he never taught players to be dirty.

psu is either being TAUGHT to play that way....or their coach just doesn't care. both are bad and neither are anything like what that griz idiot did...

I REALLY have a feeling that a couple fights will break out during the game with at least one ejection from both teams. What they did to Severin last year was the most classless thing I have ever seen. I'm sure the Griz players take that personally I dont see them being as cool headed as the Cat players were, given what happened last year. I'm pretty sure I remember reading that Nigel Burton said the block on Severin was legal and that they would do it again. I would hate to see the D coaches if they saw that play coming at Feather or Harris. Could you imagine what Gregorak would do if McSurdy or Shaw had there career ended on a chicken shit chop block?

Thats probably what Burton wants

Not even close to the same boat. Balough made a very dirty play on the Weber DE and Hauck addressed the media saying it was dissapointing to see that happen and that his players do not play to seriously hurt opponents. PSU subbed in a backup safety (so if he's suspended it's not a big deal), who hadn't played on offense all year, to crack severin from the side as he was being held up. This happened 4 or 5 times by the same player, who only came in for that play, until they finally shattered Severin's patella. After that, the PSU player never went back into the game.

Then later in the week PSU's coach defended his players actions and those plays by saying they were not penalized for it and they would do it again.

How are we in their same boat. Balough's was him losing his head and being an idiot one time. Severin's was clearly designed to specically hurt him because they had no one in their program who could block him

You get it. Thank you for seeing through the rivalry and not bunching our guys and coaches with those thugs in Portland. The Cats have never been a dirty team either and I have much respect with how Cat players and coaches have handled themselves through the years.........through all those loses :thumb:

Oh I'm sure it is. I hope our guys keep cool heads and don't do anything stupid........but I'm predicting this won't be the case the entire game.

for sure. i don't even have to be a football guru like p.r. to understand this part of the brain surgery that is college football. it's not even close. this team needs to be stopped, and i took backers advice and sent an email. it's just asinine that the league wouldn't have already warned these guys....

as for the losses, they were had to handle but things have been much better the last decade i guess.... :?

PSU needs new staffing, players, and well everything. Till then they are just going to be a bunch of dumbass low lives.

So if that's the standard, you must be really confident that none of your guys have ever been called for a chop block and never will be.
