PSU chop block wide out

We were flat out lucky that the Cats didn't have a few season ending injury with as much legal cut blocking and illegal clips and chop blocks as they do.

good luck next week but if I was a betting man I would say at least one of your players ends his season next week.
Christ I hope not for any young man on either team!

Like Severin last year...that sucked. He was having a hell of a year.

I listened to a good chunk of the Cat vs PSU game last night while driving, and it sure sounded like there were quite a few chop blocks called on PSU again. I'm guessing there were a lot more that weren't called since PSU seems to be king of the dirty plays again this year. I'm glad the Cats beat them, and wish they would've crushed them 55-0 or something. Hopefully the Griz will come away with a win vs PSU.. I don't want to see PSU even have a shot at the playoffs.

I'd never wish an injury on a player, but I have to admit I wouldn't be terribly upset if their coach gets too close to the sideline during the game and gets "accidentally" run into by a full speed Middleton... that or maybe an overthrown pass from Montana nails their coach. The dirty fuck...

What they did to Campbell last year was pure bullshit. They ended his career, and with the type of season he was having, he might have got a shot to play at the next level. It's one thing if it's just a heat of the moment thing where a player loses his head and does something stupid (throws a punch, etc). It's a whole nother ballgame where that type of bullshit is being called and taught by their coaching staff..

Call me crazy, but I would think Coach would be doing a lot of talking to the refs before/during the game to tell them to look at and throw flags on dirty plays. And while that lobbying is not "supposed" to divert an official from doing his job, I would think that anybody with a lick of sense would see what's going on and put a damper on it.. That, of course, assumes that a season-ending injury doesn't occur before laundry is thrown on the field.

you know these dudes are blatantly cheap when they have cats and griz not only agreeing with eachother....but actually ENCOURAGING the others to win!

somebody needs to talk to psu staff BEFORE next weekend and let them know if this crap continues there will be penalties of some sort. it's chickenshit b.s.

Unfortunately this kind of bullsh!t play won't cease anytime soon. At the FBS level, the service academies employ this type of blocking scheme. "Cut blocks" (diving at a players ankles/shins) are legal. "Chop blocks" (where a second blocker engages a defender who is already being cut blocked) is illegal. And clipping of course is a cut block from behind. The problem is that a team who frequently employs the cut block will accidentally or intentionally chop block way too often and inevitably someone gets hurt. Bad. They should make cut blocks illegal and this bullcrap would go away.

that's a great point unfortunately.

watching that game yesterday was really weird. part of me was almost amused by the number of penalties psu had. i found myself laughing every time a flag was thrown because i have never seen a bigger group of morons. but then i'd immediately get furious because i realized it was just another cheap ass play that could potentially injure one of our players as well as put our season in jeopardy. in fact, i should just stop commenting on this because i'm getting madder and madder.... :x

It seems I remember hearing last year that Pflu and the PSU coach have some kind of history and aren't very fond of each other

Oh I agree, I am not hoping for any injuries on your part, I want you guys healthy in Nov so there are no excuses when we kick you ass again. But the way PSU plays I feel like it a miracle that we got out of there without any injuries.

You are probably right. It is nothing short of a miracle one of your lineman isn't having surgery tomorrow.

I tell you what, if it was my kid who got a cheap shot chicken shit chop block that ended his career and I thought is was on purpose-I would be having more than words with Nigel Burton in the parking lot. Hell, I might make my way down to the sidelines to "introduce" myself to him. Sounds like this guy needs to get his A$$ kicked if you ask me.

I was at the MSU game and I'm not sure what you're talking about. Yes, we have a massive amount of penalties this year. However, they're not been made up of the chop block variety. It's absolutely stupid penalties for PI, defensive offsides, holds, false start, and delay of game. If you don't believe me, you may want to watch some video.

'I don't wish injury on someone, but....'

That pretty much sums you up.

Hmm... considering there were 2 that were called and one resulted in Casey Dennehy being helped off the field as a result of a chop block, it is clear that these things are being coached. After that, I hope you losers lose every game. What a disgrace!

So basically your team gets away with it a lot more than it's called. Great.

I didn't wish injury on anyone... After the stunt your coach pulled last year that ended Campbell's football career, I just wouldn't mind seeing your dirty chop-block teaching coach get the shit knocked out of him during a game... It sounds like your team this year is just as dirty as they were last year. It also sounds like you are in some pretty serious denial...

I have the game on DVR....believe me when people tell you that PSU linemen were diving into the MSU players legs quite frequently.

it's amazing anyone would come out and try to defend this. it was chicken shit...and it happened all game. this might be one of those times where those of us watching at home had much better views than those actually at the game?

FYI.....if there is something cat fans are saying about the dirtiness of psu....and even GRIZ fans are agreeing.....it's about a 99.9% chance it happened. if it was even remotely close griz fans would be defending psu all day long. it was dirty. it was blatant. and it happened all game long. psu is chicken shit, and i hope they lose every game from here on out.

sorry PSU fans, but when your players have to cheat... they dont deserve a damn thing, including any "good luck"

and, yes, like everybody else, I watched it

we are all agreeing because we witnessed it last year in Hillsboro when they took out Severin. We were in attendance in Pokey on Saturday and checking the score updates on the phone - so obviously had no clue what was going on inside the game. at the time i was hoping PSU was going to pull it out. However after reading all of this I'm thrilled the kittens won and wish now they would have beat PSU by 30+....... I guess the Griz will have to do that this weekend :thumb: Here is to PSU getting rolled by everyone they play for the remainder of the season!

I hope the Griz ... beat... PSU. Yeck, that wasn't easy to say. I was pretty furious watching PSU try and take our our legs and leading with helmets the entire game.
