PSU bench player guarantees no more losses

After the Weber game at PSU:

Dominic Waters: "We won't lose any more. Not any games. The rest of the season, we will not lose again."

"Waters was adamant that what happened was out of character, and he practically guaranteed that the Vikings would earn a split in their rematch with the Wildcats on Feb.14 in Ogden, Utah.

"I told them, we're going to be ready when we go up there and we will win when we go up there," Waters said. "We won't lose any more. Not any games. The rest of the season, we will not lose again."

The day before Weber beat PSU there was an article in which the Vikings players all but promised an undefeated conference season. I watched the NAU game on TV. When the Vikings won they were pounding their chests and taunting the crowd. Definately getting way too confident, you had to know they were in for a loss soon. Waters also said that he told one of the Weber players too look out for when the Viks are in Weber, that they'd be ready to play. I hope for his sake that Weber sweeps them. I think its time for Ken Bone to reel in his boys.

Well, there's nothing anybody can do about it in the conference until they are beaten. And by beaten I mean ran out of the tournament altogether.

Until then, count on the chest thumping to continue.

While it's good to bring confidence to the table, offering up blanket guarantees tends to bite one in the arse. These comments are prime bulletin board material for each and every BSC team through the rest of conference play.

I only listened to the PSU-NAU game on the radio but saw the chest-thumping on the ESPN highlights. Not a big fan of this regardless of whether they're my team or not. I love to see passion in college basketball, frankly it's why I prefer college sports to pro sports, but I like it mixed with at least a bit of class. Act like you've been there and done that before. Ken Bone's PSU program has impressed me so far but I hope this brashness/overconfidence doesn't continue. If it does, my well wishes towards PSU may end.

I don't see PSU making it through the rest of league play with no losses. I think there's too much parity in conference. Guessing the conference winner will have 2-3 losses. And I'm pretty sure it won't be Sac State or NAU.
