PSU athletes hate the Griz (envy)

so you guys care more because your facilities are better? so if i won the lottery and made both our football and basketball stadiums top notch, then we'd be considered better fans? i do have a question though. does anyone have the actual numbers on how much of great-fan donations played a part in your guys's revovations? this is a little tongue-in-cheek, but my question is sincere. i know many bobcat boosters who give decent amounts of money to our program. but to do what we'd like to do, we need tens of millions of dollars. i'm sure your guys upgrades were similar in price. did you make this much by donations from your fans? amazing.

Actually, it was shahan who first invoked the plural "fans" thing. ilovethecats merely made an excellent rebuttal keeping things in the same context as shahan, but properly pointing out the failed logic upon which shahan relied to assert that Griz fans (plural, he said) were superior to others.

I'll take my emoticon off the air ....
 
Hey Shahan, yea it is in the past and remember that we kicked the living crap out of you guys in the small little jr.High gym. I think we beat you by hum.......25 points or so!?!?!?!?!? Always taking cheap shots and skirting around the issues. Always the other teams fault. Some of your fans give it out but they can't take it when it comes around. Pushing-punching, not needed but the fans yelling and screaming and the refs screwed us? Deal with it. Last comment on the issue. :moon:
 
So from what I hear, Montana fans are perfect angels in the stands. I've also heard that Montana never causes trouble in game situations (ISU altercation), (Sac St. scoring). Our "crown jewels of the Big Sky" are immaculate souls!

When you play physical, expect some physical play back. And if you want an example of a classy coach, look no further than Viking Head Coach Ken Bone. He doesn't drop F-bombs or try to intimidate referees like Coach Larry, nor does he throw clipboards. We were rid of that with our last head coach's departure.

I watched the Mick Durham show a couple weeks back and the host asked coach Durham what happened at halftime that caused the Cats to come out and smoke ISU so bad in the second half? Durham replied that the Bengals did a lot of trash talking on the way to the locker room. Apparently the Bengals trashed talked their way out of a lot of games this year.

As for your victory over the Griz, yup you won. The Griz bounced back and are heading to the tourney. You guys have the whole off season for your b-ball team and your football team to Kiss and make up.
 
Wow, that "cyberslap" really showed me. Where did you learn that one? Did COACH LARRY teach you? Or Virgil Matthews perhaps? I already know a Coach K and he doesn't work at Montana.

I'll give you Griz fans one thing. You always have a clever quip or comeback ready for anyone who disagrees with your stance. For that, I applaud.
 
im sorry did i hear a 20+ win season? oh ok so whatever Coach K is doing must be working pretty good if he can win 21 games in a season and i do wish he taught me that cuz then i could slap someone and say from Krysko to my hand to your face...AS for Ken Bone..we all know the truth..

I don't know what you heard. You can get help to make those voices in your head go away. Great Photoshop effects by the way! You are talented. Very clever like I said the Montana fans were. I would hope that the Montana program would have twenty wins with the talent they have. But didn't Mike Adras also win 20 games with NAU. We should all praise him as well, not just Coach Larry.

Leave it to a Bengal fan to need to ask a Griz fan how much the difference in the score was. It's basic math, it's not hard, even for you Poking-fellows. What do they teach you at that school? I know, I know, petty insults aren't the way to a civilized college basketball message board, so I'll take the high road from now on. Oh, on a totally different subject, have your guys had their end-of-season banquet yet? Or are they holding out for the NIT bid first. You know... because they might get into the NIT... with that stellar record of theirs... based solely on the fact that they beat the Griz... and no one else worth mentioning. Yeah, probably holding out for the NIT bid, then, eh?

When you little tag line refers to Missoula as fucking missoula how do you expect people to respnd to you viking? As for your Coach, I have heard nothing but good things about him, from the Griz staff by the way. Have you ever talked to Krysko? Ever asked your Coaching staff about him? I know how well thought of both coaches are. If you think tossing a clipboard down is a big deal, you havenb't watched much BB in your life. I have seen far worse. Larry played the game like it should be played and he coaches the same. He doesn't coach dirty play, and he was never a dirty player. He also doesn't get pushed around. In case you didn't know it, Larry, as you like to refer to him, was the BSC MVP 3 straight years.

Sour Grapes. He's still upset that lowly #16 Montana ran with #1 Washington for 35 minutes of that game. They've been slamming Montana ever since.

You've got to find credible sources. And the Seattle Times is definitely not one of them. :laugh:

Funny it didn't mention thugs in that story, so what is your point. When your BB Coach no longer has to sequester his team off campus to avoid a brawl with the FB Team then you might have an ounce of credibilty, until then you are just a whiner. :crybaby:
 
Random thoughts:

1. Bud Withers does a nice job covering college basketball. Hell, at least he MENTIONS the Big Sky once in awhile.

2. Ken Bone is a good coach and a good person.

3. The reason UM is involved in these incidents is summed up best by a PSU poster earlier in this thread:

And is it just the athletes that hate the Griz? Nope, I think all PSU fans look at UM as our "rival" and have a certain dislike for UM. That's what makes college athletics exciting though. Rivalries transcend individual sports.

Montana takes everyone's best shot week in and week out. It's like that in football and it's like that in BB. That's okay. We're man enough and good enough to handle it. But with that comes intensity. And when there's intensity, there's bound to be flare-ups. Again, that's okay. The Griz can handle that. The question is, can teams who start throwing hay-makers on the floor deal with it?

Haven't you read any of the other posts? The Bengals are clearly the thugs here. We've been going over this for weeks. Everyone else has a handle on this. You're the only one who doesn't seem to be on the same page here.
 
Once again Folks, Believe it or not? You are skirting around the issues. The proof is in the puddin'. They have a sport for you guys that skirt around the issues....It's called square dancing!
