Prukop to be called up from the Big Sky Minor League

Prukop has been silent about the Wombats on his Twitter account. He hit a deer with his car, but otherwise, no congrats to the new coach, no comments about departing coaches, nothing about the team, no words of communion or "moving forward." Very silent for a "team leader" at a key time.

Well I think a "team leader" would be silent on social media. I would prefer all Team Leaders keep their opinions about nearly everything football related off of social media. Good for him

Prukop told FOX Sports on Tuesday that he's gotten releases to transfer to Oregon, Texas and TCU. He will take an official visit to Oregon this weekend. "Oregon is my number one school right now because of the shotgun-style of offense they run," Prukop said.

It will be interesting to see the difference between Cat fans' reactions to this and EWU fans' reactions last year. Will he be black balled and mocked like VA, or will MSU do the right thing?

The comments over there are so far pretty positive. To graduate in 3.5 years while playing football is a lot of hard work and he is getting his degree in a few weeks and will be a graduate. Most people are wishing him the best. Jordan Hoy is a talented guy. He will be fun to watch.

That's good to hear.

But, it appears the "he's not that good anyway" talk has officially begun:

"I wouldn't want him back. You have each other's backs in football. He just walked out on the kids and seniors who have been there working with him and for him. He just told everyone he's better than Montana State and the rest of the kids in the locker room. I don't care who you are, if you're on that team or a fan, that shouldn't sit well. And it's sad because he isn't good enough to play quarterback at any of the those 3 schools. He's a hell of an athlete, but he can't read defenses and throw it well enough. He makes one read and looks to run. By the end of the year, teams had that figured out. Vernon Adams pulled it off because he could throw darts all over the field.

I wish him luck, and if he did step in and start, that would be cool. However I think he made a mistake. On to Jordan Hoy and getting someone to back him up."

So far, it looks like the administration and staff is taking the high road. I'm happy to see that. It was a disgrace what happened at EWU.

CDA, thanks for posting that haha. That guy was QUICK to throw Dakota under the bus. What's funny about that post is, I actually think Prukop could thrive in TCU or Texas's offense right now.

CDA, yes there are a FEW people that are negative on what he is doing. However, the great majority understand it and are wishing him the best. There will always be a few who disagree. It is easy to cherry pick.

I...for one...wish him the best. Sounds like he was thinking this for a while, and if he feels it is best for him (he says it about 20 times in the interview) then good for him. He graduates this week, and it sounds like he doesn't have to take a Math class to do it, so he is free to explore his options....

Coach Choate said the following: (from KBZK story)

New Head Coach Jeff Choate released a statement on Prukop's decision:

“Dakota has been a great Bobcat, a tremendous teammate and a leader in this program. In the short time I’ve known him and his family there is no doubt he will achieve success in whatever pursuit he chooses. I respect his desire to look at all of his options and I certainly hope he chooses to remain in our program, but we will support his decision regardless.”

Seattlebobcat, I can answer that for you. NONE. I'm not sure why you needed to post that? I think everybody posting in this thread thinks Prukop is a great QB, and is mocking the Cat fans who are already throwing him under the bus for looking into transferring. Unless I missed something?

And if you're gonna post something like that on here, fine, but just don't be a hypocrite. Don't come here and tell us how great Prukop is, which I think we all agree he is, and then run to Bobcat Nation and tear him apart for wanting to leave MSU.

Just wondering how many QB's have been called up from the mighty griz program?
We have enough to offer them here that they don't feel the need to. Sorry that's not the case at your program.

You wanna show me where I tore DP apart on BCN? I can count a total of 3 posters that are MAD DP is leaving, The rest of us are happy with the time we had him and hope he goes on to do great things.

I'm just tired of you mouth breathers, that talk shit about a College kid and turn around a say we are throwing him under the Bus. This place is a kin to fanatical Christianity that claims natural disasters are from God to wipe out homosexuals and blacks... Yep, that's about how low this place is... on a side note I bet Donald Trump would love you guys.

Wow, Seattlebobcat, OK, I don't even know what to say to that rant. I'll leave it at this, I didn't say you already did tear him apart, I said, just don't. Secondly, round up all the quotes from Egriz the last two seasons where Griz fans talk s--t about Dakota, I'm pretty sure you won't find many, and you won't find ONE from me, as I am a huge fan of his and have had the pleasure of meeting and talking with him. And, FTR, there are more than three posters on BN right now that are mad at him for possibly leaving.

From reading your sweet words I am guessing nobody loves you. That is sad.

Hope you can work it out with your therapist.
You can do better.
You know it.
Just believe in yourself and you won't have to hate others so much.
Good Luck :ugeek:
