I thought UND looked like a Top 4 team going into this week (NDSU, UND, Tennessee Tech, Tarleton State if I had a ballot) and they looked the part today. And not many teams handle WaGriz like that. I know your fans probably don't want a congrats after that heartbreaker but having read a thread on your site where many were excited but still doubting if you could compete in this type of game, I think you definitely got that stamp of approval today!

Best of luck the rest of the season. With USD looking down so far this year and getting NDSU and SDSU at home at the Alerus, here's to you guys hopefully winning the MVFC this year!👍

Accurate ... except it did not end with much "luck" (other than the normal ups-downs). They won with, grit, determination, and making the plays that needed to be made, when they needed them.
This is very good point. I alluded to it in another post, but this is what Ishould have said. You nailed it

Tennessee Tech? Lol….

Was impressed by No Dakota’s talent. That was a much better team than last year’s. I was particularly impressed with their composure. Few teams handle playing in Missoula as well as they did. Minimal false starts and very focused play despite our crowd. They were excellent at shutting down our return men. Time and again they were on top of them and made sure tackles

Individually… Their QB looked pretty good initially but ultimately our constant blitzing disrupted his timing and apparently got into his head. Though he still remained a slippery dude. Their player I was most impressed with was the LB #7. It seemed he was in on every play. He caused us plenty of grief.

Overall a very solid team which will almost certainly be in the mix in their conference and the playoffs

HA! 5-7 for UND maybe 6-6

K State awful
Portland State = D3
Montana = looked like a #20 ranked fcs team. (which isnt a complement)

Ill state, siu, ndsu, youngstown heck maybe usd (bouman could throw for 400+ on em)

I'm watching a replay of the game and on one of UND's plays they had two players blocking almost five yards downfield when the ball was thrown across the line of scrimmage. Unless they changed the rules this year and I'm unaware, offensive players can only block one yard downfield when the pass is thrown across the line of scrimmage. This is something I saw UND do in both the K-State and Portland State games. Referees have to start calling this on UND.

lol. Bouman hasn’t looked good at all this year and isn’t anywhere near the preseason hype he was getting nor are the coyotes.

“North Dakota, I’ve been saying it all week, they have a really, really, good football team. They were dialed in, ready to go. They’re going to have a good season. I have a high regard for their team and the job they do,” said head coach Bobby Hauck.

“But I’m proud of our team. It took a lot of guts to get that win. I thought our guys did a really nice job staying with it, being focused throughout the game, and up or down it doesn’t matter we just played the same. I thought we did a good job of that.”
