We didn’t “burn” his redshirt. It’s actually the opposite. He still has his redshirt, something most players “burn” in their first year by not playing. He could still redshirt this season if something happens and he plays in 4 or fewer games.

Very true. Say God forbid an injury. However, if it goes according to plan we have him for one more full year. A true senior without ever touching the redshirt so 4 years instead of 5. I agree it’s not truly burned, but I bet Bobby’s plan was to have him for another year as a slot receiver and returner rather than having to have used him as an undersized running back in 2021.

I wish Junior could have started his college career with the rules that took effect this season. Maybe he could petition for another year because of that rule change? Regardless I’m looking forward to having him for as long as we get him. Kid has already made himself a griz legend.
