Props to Germer

I know Coach Germer has had some mixed results over the last few years and has taken a little bit of heat on this board. I feel this year he is doing a tremendous job and deserved a little shout out.

He helped identify and bring in Mallory who has been a huge difference maker. He has made a very good lineman out of Dylan Cook and made him a starter and that has made a difference too. He has moved Sirmon to that center spot and that has been a really great fit for a really good, cerebral player and leader.

I’ve been to a few practices and watched him and his group and I’ve always thought he is a phenomenal coach. Glad to see his group coming along.

The negative comments from some fans against Germer in recent years, say more about the fans than Germer. He's a terrific coach. Those posting negative stuff against him are clueless.

Like Bobby mentioned a few weeks back at a QB Club meeting, at one point last year after the injuries and retirements we had 3 returning lineman (and one of those 3 was Angel who was hurt most of last year). That is not starters, that was non-redshirting lineman on the team. It was amazing that we were able to be in as many games as we were last year and have a winning record. Germer is a big part of keeping us viable last year and a big part of the success this year.
